Had one, UK spec and it was a great little thing, would love another.

Sold it to pay for my wedding, guy who bought it only owned it for a couple of Months before it was stolen.

Sorting Mrs Fb’s learner GS500 out for her and thought I would sort the oil leak from the filter housing. Easier to buy new filter that came with the O ring, so went to put it in and found some top level bodgery !!!

Yes, someone really did manage to wedge a cartridge filter in a paper filter housing and then do a fair few miles like that laugh
Good grief, that's next-level bodging. I'd give it all a very good looking over if I were you...

Wtf, having had a K&N filter fail on track (thank fk for the race belly pan) I can honestly say I wouldn't trust that to sit in my garage over winter let alone ride it.

Love these VFR’s, used to import container loads at a time and then have the joyous task of carb service on 20 of the buggers.
Did you work at BAT Motorcycles ?

Yeah that was top bodging by whoever did it. I have stripped the bike right down to a frame and gone through it rebuilding brakes and throwing on some rattle can. It will do for her to learn on and throw down repeatedly !

New bike was delivered a few days ago - 2021 KTM 300 XC. Cannot wait to explore the local trails.

Ha! Cheers. Garage/also part workshop is getting there. The floor will be epoxy'd in the summer. It's a decent size as well (i've got a 2 post car lift on the other side as well).

One of the best proportioned bikes ever made imho. Right up there with the Tamburini 996.

Some people got new bike today.

I got new brake pads.

Yes I do have a 2nd box of front pads, before anyone asks.

How did you get on converting your S1000R to RR cams/ecu?

She scrubs up well. I think the ceramic coating stuff is working...

I've a feeling you might have me mixed up with someone else?

I do have an S1000R but haven't ever intended putting RR cams in?

It has had a full system and custom remap though. Maybe that's what you're thinking of? And I'm well happy with it.
Just trying to get the suspension sorted now, spoke to K-Tech but they don't do DDC fork internals as yet, so its hopefully off to MS Race Developments this week to have stiffer springs fitted. Just waiting on Mick giving me a call to say the workshop is free.
