A picture a day...biker banter (Vol 5)
Discussion
Giving the bike some love. Screen change, centre bulb change and replacing missing or broken parts
Old
New
Aprilia sticker arrived but still waiting on the bigger white sticker that sits on the bottom
Running this as a centre light now... Its not got as nice a colour as the led but hopefully it projects the centre light better as the led would be near impossible to setup
And while I'm replacing missing bolts I'm having to source another indicator lense cover as this took a good shot on a recent ride

What year do you need? I can see oval or non oval? 2009,is that ok?
Try ticking European union and searching for Triumph 675 Auspuffkrümmer or Auspuff Krümmer .
I've got loads of bike stuff from Germany recently, they seem to have a proper "breaking" system over there, the stuff I have had for my 90's suzukis has been top notch. Proper businesses, proper decent quality and well packaged. 48 hours delivery too.
Look drop it. He's too tight to buy a new set...ok? ;-)Try ticking European union and searching for Triumph 675 Auspuffkrümmer or Auspuff Krümmer .

I especially love that shiny bit on the edge of the tyre
Now, now ... we aren't all hero's... in fairness that tyre has only done road riding and mainly commuting Joking aside she is mint. And those pipes look much nicer than the standard fare.
Still one of the best sounding Superbikes......
Recently "won" this, to me anyway, very cool 1981 UK team Transatlantic Trophy jacket , seller informs me it was owned and worn by Dave Potter , who that year was up against the US team of Mamola, Spencer , Wes Cooley, Skip Askland , his team mates include Sheene, Haslam, Huewen,Mick Grant and a host of other giants from the era.
Sadly, Dave lost his life at Oulton later that year.
Anyway, its cleaned up very well and is in excellent nick, so ill get some use from it and enjoy owning it.

First dry day I think this year! There was actually grip!
I gave my bike a mini service and fitted a double bubble which is amazing - wish I did it a year ago
My mates running in his new pikes peak. The new 1260 is much better than the last model. Very quick off the bottom and the qs is sublime plus lots of pops and bangs between gears. He's got a full system and race map fitted too

Mate, with that new screen you might as well of gone full on rsv4, a naked bike should start to rip your neck off at 100 and above . To be fair though we all no the tuono is not a proper naked is it I will stick to swearing in my helmet as I hang on to the fooking bike at well below tuono speeds Started fitting my ktm heated grips tonight, looks really simple and a lot neater than my mk1 1290r grips. Gave up an hour ago though because of some odd ball issue I need to ask advise about Here's a picture of the obligatory baki tin for my fellow tab smocking BN
My old silver tin has finally bit the dust so have the indignity of using a purple Tupperware box now
220 miles since I purchased this bike late December, roll on some good weather this weekend guys.

Haha you're the second person to say that! It's only because I'm touring this year. Really does feel like a sports bike now at speed with straight bars and a more torque less revvy engineStill haven't got the bloody thing running but I did at least make it look a little better.
I know tank pads aren't to everyone's taste but it is going to save the tank from being scratched to buggery (it already had a mark or two) and is genuine carbon rather than imitation so it's at least a bit blingy!

Also... why the juddering fk do they display the wrong way round? I re-orientated them on the PC before uploading the bd things and they still fk up!
I really don't understand technology all that much...

Aaarrgh, 2 of my favourite bikes right there! Lovely pair. Great fast road warriors. I gave my bike a mini service and fitted a double bubble which is amazing - wish I did it a year ago

A friend of mine has just bought himself and RSV and he's looking for a good screen. Good to hear you're happy so which one did you plump for?I gave my bike a mini service and fitted a double bubble which is amazing - wish I did it a year ago

Well accidentally bought another R1 making it three in the past year. Here's the three together, the one on the right is not mine anymore though.
Only wanted a road bike, but the offer on the one on the left was too good to miss and he had the full road fairings in storage. So now after far too much work (he had taken off rad fans, all controls, even the horn was off) it's back like this. Just need to change tyres over to road tyres and find my old pillion seat as my spare yellow one is a bit out of place and she'll be ready for the road.
