60mph bird strike at the weekend, thought it was hitting my chest so ducked but it hit the bike and bounced over my head covering me and the bike in feathers.

I did 225 miles around Mid and North Wales in one morning on Saturday, and it was the best 5 hours of road riding I've had in years.
It's awsome round there.
I have a night away pass signed, and although I've been to Wales twice, I'm still thinking of going back. It's either that or all the way up the middle of the Penines

Yeh so good, I'm lucky to be in Chester so it's on my doorstep. I left the house at 7:30 and was back for half 1. My route was Home > Crossgates > Aberystwyth > Bala > home. Some parts I was the only vehicle for miles and could really push it.

That's an interesting route, I'm in Ellesmere Port so I might give that a go! Does the A483 get more exciting once you're past Wrexham? I'd written it off as just being dual carriageway.

They do! We've got one for sale if you'd like one hehe

Jason, is that one yours?
As much as I'd like one there is no room at the house at the moment! I've got Ariel two strokes the Leader is restored and the Arrow I'm in the process of doing up, it's in the house at the moment so definitely can't take any more in!

Only once you're past Oswestry, then it's all good.

Fab, how does the old un compare to the LC? They where made in the day before the 12BHP restrictions so I guess it must go pretty well?

Looks good - hope it's as great as the reviews suggest.

I was very tempted to get one but there were so few available (2nd hand I should add) - probably be loads in a year so I might change for one then

Took my little CBR250RR along to my Cadwell Trackday last week. Did a few sessions before moving back onto my 400 track bike but was good to give it a run.

Customary picture over the mountain as thats pretty much the only time it will lift its front wheel hehe

There's thankfully still a few corners of the Lakes where you can find some peace and quiet.

Congratulations on making your own mind up. There's an evangelism to the Old Gits. One minute you're thinking the Watchtower is an informative read, next you've bought a K1300S rolleyes

Must add you to my Christmas card list cool

Fitting a new (old) engine to my mates thundercat as he fitted a new chain (incorrectly) and did this

Space is a bit tight in the garage though

One day I will have a double garage and a lift.

New bike day! Managed a ride in the drizzle, hoping for some dryer weather to get properly acquainted over the next week.

A couple of photos of my naked SP2 from when I finished off the valve shimming, I thought some people might like to see.

Looks great, I had a nice SP1 back in the day...sold it in Australia (and bought the KTM), as I found the SP1 incompatible with local police speed enforcement methodology wink. I rode it in England for three years though... had a blast on it.
