A picture a day...biker banter (Vol 5)
Discussion
Reminder of why I never book track days that far in advance of a weather forecast, was at Castle Combe today , really enjoyed the time I had on track but it never let up.
Fair play, was some really exotic bits of kit getting a good seeing to on a track , covered in rivers in place.
High spirits after first session ! Borrowed Mrs P's CBR600, brilliant bike no matter what the situation..
RD500 was flying and near the front of the inters, riding on 20 year old Michelin Macadams , he over took a few bikes on wets...

Re the RD500 on 20 year old tyre.....why?
Makes no sense whatsoever for the price of a set of modern tyres, it will feel terrible, regardless of how many bikes he's overtaking, and he's asking for trouble, what a strange thing to do.
Agree with all your comments...as to why, no idea, i didnt ask him!Makes no sense whatsoever for the price of a set of modern tyres, it will feel terrible, regardless of how many bikes he's overtaking, and he's asking for trouble, what a strange thing to do.

Certainly looks like car tread. I guess it'd be about a third the price of a bike tyre when they're that wide, eh?https://youtu.be/hEZeR9E3JyY
You don't need much of a garden for trials:

Very interesting that. Bought my Kawasaki ER6-N new in 2007, moved it from my old house to my new house the other day and its hit 3000 miles! that's how much I've used it.
Partners best mates husband has just passed his bike test and it turns out one of my new neighbours also has a 2007 Kawasaki ER6-F so it might get used some more now!
