New bike day! Managed a ride in the drizzle, hoping for some dryer weather to get properly acquainted over the next week.

Reminder of why I never book track days that far in advance of a weather forecast, was at Castle Combe today , really enjoyed the time I had on track but it never let up.

Fair play, was some really exotic bits of kit getting a good seeing to on a track , covered in rivers in place.

High spirits after first session ! Borrowed Mrs P's CBR600, brilliant bike no matter what the situation..

RD500 was flying and near the front of the inters, riding on 20 year old Michelin Macadams , he over took a few bikes on wets...

Just completed the Nc500 - 6 day tour and about 1950 miles. Cracking scenery and roads.

Re the RD500 on 20 year old tyre.....why?

Makes no sense whatsoever for the price of a set of modern tyres, it will feel terrible, regardless of how many bikes he's overtaking, and he's asking for trouble, what a strange thing to do.

How did the 1200RS do? I’m struggling to get more than 140 miles out of a tank in a run and then 80 odd when having fun.

Certainly looks like car tread. I guess it'd be about a third the price of a bike tyre when they're that wide, eh?

Met up with a few fellow V7 Guzzisti yesterday at Sywell Airfield. Nice venue, they have car and bikes shows and (of course) air shows in normal times. Quite a few bikes there. Maybe 50 V7s over the course of the day, but never more than 30 people at once, of course!

Had a brilliant time losing my trials-ginity at Inch Perfect Trials the other day. It made me want a house with more of a garden… the Electric Motion bikes are hilarious too. Want one. And some skills. And fitness…

You don't need much of a garden for trials:

Bought my Kawasaki ER6-N new in 2007, moved it from my old house to my new house the other day and its hit 3000 miles! that's how much I've used it.

Partners best mates husband has just passed his bike test and it turns out one of my new neighbours also has a 2007 Kawasaki ER6-F so it might get used some more now!
