We must have the same taste in bikes, I really fancy one of these one day. What's it like? What model did you get?

Its the "Rally" which is basically a base model with a different paint job and a selection of extras from the Indian catalogue, Spoke wheels, seat, higher bars, rear rack, side rack, small headlight cowl, chunky tyres. The dealer also added tank and side bags.

I still have the 701

Its not unlike a bigger Svartpilen, heavier, a little softer but serious grunt

So far the only thing I dislike is the 100 mile tank range but I knew that going into it

This was my Father's Day bimble out for an hour, before getting back to digging up weeds in the garden. But thank you, I know I'm very lucky. biggrin

Space is a bit tight in the garage though

One day I will have a double garage and a lift.

There's only me left! everyone else has either crashed out, given up or moved abroad, there are no more NW rideouts and I've done 500 miles this year frown

I’d be up for a ride. I think I’ve only done maybe 100 miles this year if that.

Yeah it gets better, the replacement engine has all the exhaust studs snapped off and remnants of stud extractors in at least 2 of them, so I also have to swap the heads over, and the casing around the stator cover is also damaged which will need a chemical metal repair, it was under £100 though so I guess it was cheap for a reason, I just hope the bottom end is ok on it, apart from that I'm quite enjoying it to be honest, I've been spoilt by new bikes for a while now and have not got my hands dirty for a while,

Fab, how does the old un compare to the LC? They where made in the day before the 12BHP restrictions so I guess it must go pretty well?
Hello Bryan, sorry for the late reply.

The old 200 goes really well, my 125 only gets it at the very top end. The 200 handles surprisingly well.

It was good fun last week and hopefully we can do it again before summer fades.

Nice easy job then to get your hands dirty again. TBH they are pretty good to work on.
