First time on a track yesterday. It was more of a rider skills day than out and out track day but I was in the novice group.

Noise test

3 groups

I didn't fall off. Which was quite good.

Am now coasting ebay looking for a trailer and a cbr600 biggrin

That looks quality - how are you finding it so far?

PS - I'm also a Neal H - what are the odds? biggrin
Loving it so far. I’m in running-in mode at the moment so restricted revs. I need to get to 600 miles asap (123 so far).

I had an FZ1 Fazer for the last 10 years, so this feels quite different, much lighter and agile, it really tips into corners in a way the FZ1 didn’t. I’ve softened the dampers right down and while the ride is still fairly firm, I think the complaints about ‘too firm’ are exaggerated. The fly screen and visor combo work surprisingly well, wind blast at 60 mph is virtually non-existent and at 70 it’s absolutely fine. In the flesh, it’s a great looking bike. Early days, but so far I’m well pleased.

I’m 900 miles in on mine and absolutely loving it. Wound the suspension compression and rebound down and it’s near enough perfect.

Just need that magic 1000 miles so I can really stretch the engine and book a trackday smile

Actually quite impressive but not my cup of tea any more. Forgot what a fat load of rubbish the mirrors are (may as well not have any biggrin ). The brakes are much better than my Busa though confused

Sluggish calipers on the Hayabusa or lighter weight of the GSXR?

A little run out for a bacon sandwich and coffee smile

I hate it when they re-cover/gravel the back roads frown

Nice 👍

I still haven’t been there yet despite living ten mins away.
It seems many of those roads are perpetually covered in gravel at the corners and junctions around the area (towton, lotherton etc). I’m new to biking so never had to think about or notice this before…

Those are the ones, I went from Cawood through Ryther to Uleskelf, they were OK after Towton and to Lotherton. The junction near Lotherton Hall is always bad.

That's a cracking photo.

What's the red bike? The scoops below the headlamps seem different from the white one.

I am partially asking as I saw a black Ducati that seemed 748/916 like last week, but something with the top of the fairing made me think SV650S or Triumph. The twin headlamps seemed more rounded and lozenge shaped than on the 748/916.

The GSXR is very light so it could be just that. Hopefully an expert will be along soon...

Depends on which generation of Busa. The gen1 have rubbish brakes as standard, but can be upgraded
