You can get a V7 plate for £299 plus fees and taxes. It seems V7 OAP is unavailable.

V7 OAF is though... and V7 FPN.

My point was that if a small plate is important to you a registration like Ixx 199 will fit on a legal plate that is 34mm narrower than the minimum size for V7 XXX.

You won't find anything "relevant", though. smile

You'd have to buy from a DVLA auction or a dealer in order to have an even smaller plate, and that gets expensive.

I've seen OAF before. FPN would be fun to have properly "wrong" but the cumulative £100s might get old fast.

Really? seems a little odd to me, does this mean that owners of older bikes are immune from automated enforcement... scratchchin

Sounds very unlikely you'd get away with it to me.

I would be amazed that if when the automated system failed the image would just be sent to a human to interpret.

Seems like a common sense way to design a system.

HADEC certainly read mine last year! First 3 points on the slowest bike I've owned for about 20 years!

I read the same thing some time ago which also said that was one of the reasons for stopping the rolling 40 years for black and silver plates.

Someone took a few pics of my racing Sunday. That old Maico might be a pig at times but it's a damn good classic looking Mx bike

Spent my day riding this though... Mid 90s 250 2 stroke which was good fun

Snake Pass at the weekend.
Having driven over it loads for work between 2001 and 2015, going over it on the bike the first couple of times was an experience.

The bit from Glossop over the top to the forest is great.
The bit from the forest to Ladybower is lumpier than rugby ball hoarder's mattress.

For some reason always enjoy Glossop towards Sheffield better than the other way round...but note to self..always remember the 'Flashy Man's near Ladybower!!

Just back from a circa 2000 mile trip around Wales. Incredible weather, we were so lucky 18c overcast and no wind. Perfect smile. Loved the Elan Valley, by far my favourite.

Picked up my new Speed Triple yesterday, absolutely love it, running in again is a bit of a chore , especially the first 100 miles at 3,500RPM (60ish MPH) but its not so bad now as im on the 200 mile mark .

Everywhere smacks of quality touches , even the number plate hanger is brushed alloy along its length, which seems a bit of overkill as I imagine most people will fit in place a tail tidy, as ive done today.

I have my phone set up , some power to that via the accessory socket , an Evotech rad guard and the tail tidy...I will look to change the end can over the Winter but that will be about it, shes already a looker in my book.

Big thumbs up for the dealer and sales person , Nina, at Wellingborough Triumph, couldn't have been a more accomodating and easy bunch of people to deal with , offered me a great PX and deal on the bike which always helps.

Only minus so far is keyless ignition, have no problem with it in my car but on the bike, it's slower than an old fashioned key.

Fingers crossed I should have it run in by the end of next week .

Cracking bike smile I’m at 900 miles on mine. So close to being able to use all the revs evil
