Full size superbikes which are sublime in how they hold their line through corners. Not many better feelings than being cranked over on a 1x98 through a long sweeper. Hopefully the OP finds his 1098. Sublime machines which we will never see the likes of again.
Love my R which has covered much of Europe with me.

To the OP - I'm quite sure this was the one I looked at, at the start of the year at another Ducati main dealers as I recognise the dodgy clutch cover and the rest of the details are the same. It was on Sale or Return with the original first owner at the time, but we couldn't do a deal on price.

Yes I saw this one! So many 1098s have this modification and I couldn't work out what was standard! I am looking for a completely original example
It's standard otherwise - those clutch covers are a 2 min swap. Most run open ones as it lets the dust dissipate, gives a louder 'jangle' and aids cooling which matters in traffic. The one on that particular one is a little 90s GSXR though.

If looking for the best one to buy - that would be it, but at a price.

Howdy op (Doppelkupplung), did you find a bike yet?

I would sell you mine if not. It will be part-ex'd against a V4 this summer/spring and you can have it for the same price I was quoted for a trade-in. It has 15k miles but it is "immaculate" as described by Ducati Carlisle who did the big service (cams etc.) last year. Please PM me for more details.
