My lad turns 16 next year and wants a 50cc scooter to learn on.

So far i've had a general look around at various brands so just starting to get a rough idea.

My thinking is that after a year he'll want a 125 so buying relatively cheaply will be the smartest move so either used or one of these cheap makes like Sinnis.

Obviously i have no idea as to reliability of makes such as Sinnis so all advice help would be appreciated.

Tks
My son is now 17, he had a Yamaha Aerox 50cc while he was 16, and has traded it in for a Honda CBR125. The Aerox being two stroke initially was a bit unreliable, but if you keep it standard, they hold there value very well, so got great PX deal with the Honda.

Hope that helps.

YEs tks

We bought the Sinnis 50cc ped and he loves it.

Not expensive and if he keeps it standard and upright hopefully it'll keep value well too

OP's post struck me as a bit like asking about the best brand of cutlery because his son wants to stick a fork in his eye!

I had some fun on my Honda Express, though.

Mine wasn't snazzy metallic like this one, but did have a (not in any way camp) lovely vinyl bag on the rear rack and a front basket!

Nope you've baffled me.. It must be me!

My post was a genuine attempt to get opinions from others nothing more or less.

As it turns out we are pleased with what we got him and he just needs to gain experience as you can imagine.
