If he shot any of them then he’d be going down for attempted murder. There is no threat to him, which is what’s required. The scrotes know that stealing a bike is a minor crime in the police’s eyes, threats to the person change things considerably. There’s also the small matter that most right tninking people don’t shoot people without suffering emotionally for quite a while afterwards.
Is there any legal protection for protecting your own property (not including guns obviously) ?

It would be even worse, he’s gone out to seek that confrontation knowing that he has a gun, so technically the upper hand. You can defend yourself if you’re in imminent danger using reasonable force, that doesn’t include running out to confront them shouting “they’re coming right at me” and blasting them in the knees. Is there any legal protection for protecting your own property (not including guns obviously) ?
Oh and even if it was OK, there’s no way it ends there. You shoot the scrotes, they know who you are and where you live amd all of them will have more scrotey friends and family who will happily continue to escalate things. It doesn’t end with you confronting them, it starts there and it never ends well after that.
