I think Marquez was held up by Rins on that last lap but either way it was a great result for Zarco.
So where will Zarco be next year?
Factory KTM, not looking to quick or reliable so far this year,
Stay at Tech 3, KTM see above.
Yamaha, only a new satellite team as the factory riders are contracted to 2020.
Pramac Ducati, Suzuki and Aprilia all have potential vacancies
Or Repsol Honda, the big money move?

Is Dorna not contractually obliged to supply only 24 bikes until 2020? Therefore if tech 3 run KTMs next year, there are no slots left for a Yamaha or Suzuki satellite team. Or will Dorna conveniently forget this when Rossi comes knocking? Or (more likely) will the VR46 team just come up in 2020 when Dorna re-negotiates and ups the grid size to 26 or 28?So where will Zarco be next year?

I can see this being a season of multiple winners again. Interesting to see Zarco is on the 2016 chassis.
agreed, i can see it being the best season in a very long time. going to be very hard racing for anyone to establish dominance early doors. hopefully everyone stays healthy.on another sad note, i only found out today ralf waldmann passed away last saturday . apologies if there has been a thread in here, i only pop in now and again. great racer, a bit unlucky like more than a few that never won a championship and a nice bloke the one time i met him in a bike shop in germany. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/motogp/...

I see VR not really getting the hang of qualifying again. He looses so much time back there. I remember a number of occasions where he was as fast as the front runners, but because he has to battle through from 8/10th on the grid he can only really manage third/fourth at the end.
He used to be able to get away with only showing up on race day , trouble is now you've got iannone / zarco who are more than up for a fight it's a bit harder for him to push his way thru to the front .Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
