Hicky did it. Amazing. 135mph, done!

Feel quite gutted for Deano, he's been quickest all week really. Traffic? Maybe fitness? Pleased for Hicky but wish Deano had done it, feel he deserved it.

Every time I watch the TT on the goggle box or internet the riders just seem to get even more insane with modern rubber around their wheels.

So impressive, I have no words.

On a different note, Porsche are going to various places this year with their redistricted LMP1 919. I would like to see that around the TT circuit, it would be mindbending watching the video. 150mph lap pace easy.

Might need a larger fuel tank ....

Just listened to the radio coverage for the last half lap, what a battle, Deano had a bit of trouble with traffic, losing a few seconds and that's all it took.

Peter Hickman, the first man to do a 135 lap and took a race record as well, awesome.

Unbelievable last lap from Hicky.

Was on the edge of my seat listening to Manx Radio's commentary of it.

I know there's always an 'if only...' but just 3 seconds quicker and he'd have cracked 136mph, too. Only mentioning that because of the group of back markers he got caught up with.

I thought that with Hutchy still borked, Mcguiness out and Anstey ill, it might not have been such a spectacular event this year. In the end it was an amazing one.

Please don't start the car vs bike battle thread on this one, there is another thread going with that and it is infuriating to put it mildly. The Porsche would stand no chance around the Mountain Circuit, end of story.

I was going to say something similar but I wouldn't have been as polite as you so I bit my tongue, so to speak.

It has driven me mad. I put my hands up to being no F1 expert or the like, but one thing I do know a lot about is road racing a motorbike and also the Isle of Man TT, having been a competitor there some years ago. I therefore find it bizarre how people can quote ideas about simulators, Nurburgring, Monaco etc in the same sentence as the TT and then expect people to be polite with a reply. As for the Porsche 919 idea, it may as well be a Eurofighter or Saturn V rocket for all the relevance and sense it makes.
