Don't let your bike out of your sight at Liverpool Docks peeps, seen reports of a couple of bikes being nicked, parked up 150m from the Ferry. 1290 Superduke being one. Poor chap over from Germany...welcome to the UK. mad

Very sad but for some these events have become nothing more than a massive bike showroom with easy pickings. Amazing how they can nick it right under peoples noses without anyone seeing a thing.

I've been told that some lads were staying in a hotel near the docks, and were told not to leave their bikes in the car park as it wasn't safe. They moved them and when they came back to the hotel there was already a scooter, two up doing laps of the car park looking for the bikes that they'd just moved. Must have got a phone call from someone who spotted them being parked up.

Some very special riding out there today: Many riders are wobbly on the unrestricted sections and speeding through all the 30, 40 and 50mph sections. Time for me to go for an ice cream.

Just waiting to board now in Heysham. There's loads of vans and far fewer bikes than I expected!

I'm heading over for the first time on Sunday, staying for nine nights - only ferries we could get last May!

I was after advice from experienced old hands on a few good spots to watch and also some logistical advice in terms of rough times of when the course closes and how hard it is to get out to the best spectating locations. I'm taking my 911 but my wife and our friend will be on their motorcycles. I can take three of us in the car but will it just be a total liability? We're staying inside the circuit at Strang so reckon the Railway Inn / Union Mills is fair game for a day. We can head out there on foot which will be good.

Road Closures are here: https://www.gov.im/media/1361541/tt-road-closures-...

Good places to watch are: Bray Hill, Conker Trees, Gooseneck, Ballaugh Bridge, Creg Ny Baa, Rhencullen - Plus many many others that I've still not been to!

You can drive to most viewing areas, but get there early to park and get a viewing spot, and be prepared to be stranded until the roads open again. There are loads of foot paths, so you can drive as close as possible, ditch the car and walk to where you want to be. Check to make sure where you're going has facilities, and if not go armed with food and drink. :-)

This is old, but a good guide of where to park/access etc for each of the courses main areas. https://www.iomtt.com/press/schedule.pdf

I will be there - oh hang on, I live here and they fly past the house.

Really hope the red flag in tonight’s practice isn’t as bad as it sounds like it might be 😔

Bad crash just past conkers on first lap tonight, just as the top lads went through. I know who it was but won’t say yet , doesn’t look too good though.
Session cancelled.
Also seems like some horrific clerk of coursing as rumours are riders were returning to paddock wrong way on track and met course car head on at Ballacrye. Wtf. One rider apparently in collision as a result.
This could change tt forever.

Seems like news is out. Dan Kneen lost his life in Churchtown tonight. RIP

Talk here of the rider in head on with course car also killed. Ffs, I hope that’s rumour.

Should we be posting names when nothing’s been confirmed yet? Surely best to wait until official announcements are made.

Well done. Fingers crossed for the rider concerned.

This is awful if true. I'm amazed to be honest. It's normally so well run. Surely if it was ever necessary to have vehicles on the circuit going both ways, normal road rules should apply with people driving on the left.
