Superb Moto3 as ever....

Big boys was fairly predictable and a tad dull sadly.

Gutted 04 dropped it.

Yams need to seriously sort it out or its game over even this early.

If all the rumours are true Lorenzo's only choice is staying at Ducati.

And if anyone can explain how Petrucci managed to use soft front & rear for his 2nd place finish when Lorenzo with the same tyres couldn't you win a major prize, courtesy of Ducati.

Why would ducati keep him ?

I didn't say it was theirs, it's his option so he has to do all he can to stay.

What happened with Dovi? He seemed to lose the rear? There wasn’t much footage of the crash or more likely I missed it due to visitors turning up ...

His timing is right. He is on the best bike and he is the best rider.

Still no 500cc 2-stroke though. And plenty of electronics too.

In my opinion Marquez gets a hard time from some fans, much M.Schumacher & Sebastien Loeb did during their dominance.

I happily watch M.Marquez and appreciate his ridiculous talent and skill becuase he's not going to be around forever. We will miss him when he's gone.

Dani Pedrosa has lucked into that Repsol Honda seat for far too long. I know it's because he's Spanish, but there are at least 4 or 5 world-class riders more deserving of that second factory Repsol Honda. I'd be interested to see how Crutchlow goes on it, but obviously it will never happen.

After Dovi and Zarco went out, it was kind of predicatble. Shame though, as there were some good battles going on further back.

Petrux and Rossi did well, and Miller. Lorenzo was obvious as soon as he got passed.

I hate to say it, again, by MM is on another level.

Another st race, Barring Lorenzo going backwards and a couple of crashes, nothing happened.

I said it a while ago amd I stand by it, that MM is going to clear off and win this championship by a mile. He was angry after Argentina and nobody has got anywhere him since on race day.

I recorded it so skipped through most of the last half.

First half was good. That ducati is still difficult - and Honda seem to be well ahead now. I'm sure Dovi will get some more wins but he won't have the consistency.

MM will wrap this title up at the end of summer. But what a rider. Loved his pass on Zarco.

Can't stop watching the kornfell save though!

Did anyone watch the Moto2? Xavi Vierge went from the back of the grid (after a bike problem on the grid) to 5th pulling off some moves Marquez would have been proud of. He did Fenati and Oliveira with moves into the tricky crashfest turn 2 by being wide through the flat out turn 1 staying on the left and diving deep on the brakes seemingly waiting for the others to brake then counting to 3 before braking himself, clipping the left kerb and making the left without losing the front end and still making the flip back to the right and passing I guess some very surprised riders.

BT Sport. WTF?

Why have they decided to show a minutes worth of highlights just before the MotoGP race giving away the results and key moments from earlier races. Huewen can’t help himself spoil the races for those who’ve recorded them as he always seems to blurt out the results, but Hodgson has now fallen into this bks. He gave away the Moto2 during his pitwalk.

Vierge for me should have been on the Tech 3 this year, but moved ship away form the Mistral too soon, you can understand why, but he would now be getting great results on a Yam sadly. But he is top drawer, has been for a year if you knew where to look.

The age old, dimwit Honda Pedrosa posters. Name me another rider who would be prepared to do what Dani does, ie win the odd race every year, fight for podiums, not crash too much, support Marquez to some extent.

Zarco was not prepared to do it, neither has Dovi been. So lay off the kid, Cal would cost them a fortune in damage. And he isn't good enough to ride for a factory team, he did it once and shot his bolt.

No-one else with any sense would want to be Marquez team-mate right now as much as they didnt want to be Stoners back in the day.

What bike do you think Cal rides then? Who do you think his contract is with?

My understanding is that he is contracted with HRC, has a 2018 RCV same as Dani & Marc, with the exception being the carbon swing arm.

He provides a large amount of input, feedback and development for the lead HRC riders as his style is similar to Marc’s.

I agree there’s a different issue. Marquez is on a different level to the others, it’s not just the bike. His ability to play with the front tyre is unprecedented currently and Crutchlow is a man that highlights this regularly in interview and others elude to it.

Being Marquez’s team mate exposes anyone to being benchmarked against a freakish talent, who will determine the development direction.

Zarco going to KTM, Dovi staying at Ducati as leading riders are likely to gaurantee the focus in the garage being on them.

Also, Dovi was not treated like an asset by HRC the last time he was there, so why would he want to go back versus his leverage position against a poor performing overpaid teammate.

So I agree, there are a few riders who would take the ride currently, Pedrosa remains one of the most successful ever MGP riders and on his day is as good as any out there, except his teammate who right now imho is the new benchmark.

Agreed. Its just a shame that there's pretty much zero real competition, resulting in dull racing. Others have said MM will wrap up the championship my midsummer - I think he's already wrapped it up, barring a major injury of course.

I said he’d do it by mid summer a few races ago. I mean he’ll do it mathematically. He’s a long way ahead now but it isn’t over until he can’t be caught mathematically.
