Fair enough

I admire Suzuki for getting these two young riders in to do a job,

It's a risk, but I fell Rins more so than Mir who seems to be destined for the top whatever.

I thought he had a long deal with Marc VDS, glad he hasn't.

Interesting that Honda reneged on an option with him too. Massive oversight in my eyes, especially with what Marquez did, just shows how much Puig runs that team. They did it with him, why not Mir? MM93 runs that team utterly.

Ciabatti said subject to Mugello results....

So, if thats usual, then he will either be riding Shakeys Duke in BSB or out of work.....

Still possible whispers about a single factory yam if they dont run a satellite team...but VDS are supposedly after the tech3 bikes, if they dont explode follwoing legal recrimination twixt Mark VDS and Bartolemy....

Hope Mir performs well on the Suzi

IA29 to Aprilia, Either Miller or Petrux to factory Duc (i hope Petrux)

Redding/Smith WSB if there lucky...

All good fun !

Third Yamaha for me. I think Ducati will sign Miller. Dorna won’t want Lorenzo out on his ear, as he’s the only recent rider to beat Marquez to a title.

Rea tipped for GP? I think Suzuki have looked at the success of Tech3 taking a gamble with rookie riders and why not? Pedrosa has only survived due to Repsol sponsorship.

I know, he's only joint 7th with Mick Doohan in the all time race winners list, with more wins than Stoner, Biaggi, Schwantz etc. Hard to see why he gets the ride really isn't it.

Can't see Rea moving across either to be honest.

Third yamaha for Lorenzo perhaps?

Rins was st hot in Moto2. I really rate him. Been unlucky with injuries in his rookie year in GP, which has spoiled his form. Don't see him as a risky choice at all.

I have never been anything other than a supporter of Rins, I merely think Mir is a better bet, has adapted quicker to Moto2 than Rins did so might adapt to a GP bike quicker too, and I think on the whole has more championship potential.

No chance of Rea he is too lazy and unambitious. Should have been in GP years ago but preferred to take the easy money and races and stayed in the dead world of SBK to win endless series that no-one cares about anymore.

Even the teams that used to be in it!

How's rea lazy ?

His options we're only ever going to be some no home moto gp team and just make up the numbers or a decent wsbk team .

Why on earth would he go to gp to ride a slow bike at the back of the grid , he'd just become the next redding/smith

And in the last 10 years has won 7 more races than Rossi. Pedrosa's point scoring average in that period has been 14.31 per race, whereas Rossi's has been 14.15. Even if you push the stats back another year to include both of Rossi's championship winning seasons, that puts them on an equal amount of wins with 27 each.

Just for fun, Stoner has won 28 in the same period (4 years) and Marquez has won 38 (6 years) smile

He may not have won a championship but to hint that he doesn't deserve his seat is quite a leap.

Commentary on the France race was talking about Lorenzo being caught out without a factory ride, or maybe any ride, with the 2019 silly season musical chairs. Autosport have an article now saying he could be on a Yamaha satellite bike, maybe Marc VDS Yamaha after Tech3 switch to KTM.

Rea is lazy because

Petrucci was a nowhere man in SBK, came and rode an Ioda piece of dirt coz no-one else wanted to, proved himself, showed pace and determination and now look at him. Simple hard work, training and not being prepared to give in.

Rea would have been offered a poor bike first year yes, but anything could have been possible after that, he had great contacts with Red bull back then, and Honda. Redding got good rides after a good first year on a poor bike. Coz he impressed on that against Hayden and a few others.

Laverty could easily have stayed in the paddock too on the bike Abraham is on now but totally chose the wrong deal coz he threw his teddies out as Bautista was getting a better bike. And has done nothing every since.

Rea chickened out in my view, went for easy wins, easy money.

I suppose fair play to him, but when you see what he does in SBK, that is a total and utter wasted talent. Ala Mat Mladin.

I really don't get the Rea is lazy' thing at all. He was st on by Honda with the useless Fireblade for too long and gave him a couple of rides on Pedrosa's bike in MotoGP when Pedrosa broke again. IIRC he scored decent points both times, unlike many others who had had a similar opportunity. That was a waste of a MotoGP talent because of his passport. Oh and if he's lazy, how would you explain his total success in WSB once leaving Honda? I don't think anyone would agree it's easy money, it's dedication and pure skill.

Being lazy and unambitious is obviously what it takes to become multiple WSBK champion. What a load of bks rolleyes

Yep, he's not lazy, just sensible. Petrucci was an unknown Euro Superstock 1000 rider he had nothing to lose riding a dog of a bike in MotoGP, but it can ruin the career of a highly rated rider.
