As stated above the gyroscopic effect means higher speed helps IME.

The other thing is the height of bike and rider position. I have found Hayabusa/Blackbird are much better than, for example my Gsxr1000 in crosswords.

Hope that helps!
I think weight makes a big difference though, and a hyperbike is a good 50kg heavier than a Gixxer. My old 125 was horrendous even in normal weather, especially with turbulence coming off the back of lorries.

bozzy.

Wonder if your shock is too soft? Can you up the preload and see if that makes a difference?

My friend had a fireblade, I had an SP1. We rode thru north wales in extremely high winds. My bike moved maybe 20cm left and right with massive side gusts, my friend’s fireblade was all over the place, even sometimes changed lane completely. We swapped bikes...and the problem stayed with the rider, not the bike.

I am would agree with this, a combination of both..

In a crosswind though the height of the bike and rider on a superbike leaves you like high sided vehicles without the mass and even they struggle!

I have also found sports cars near immune to crosswinds, while you notice it in vans and some 4x4s.
