No we didn't bother going onto the stunt show or whatever it was just stayed looking around the stands. There wasn't much on the way of classics there . maybe would have been nice to see a two stroke section for nostalgia purposes but then i guess thats all for the classic show.

Overall it was worth the journey and day out i felt although the food was dreadful and as usual overpriced plus on the Subway stand that i used the staff there were dreadfully rude.

Ah got you!
Yeah re the food, we always take a packed lunch and go out to eat it in the car at lunchtime, breaks the day up a bit.
The classic stuff was much less than previous years

Bizarre they can't organise decent food - a hipster burger/pizza van isn't hard to get to a show these days!

Yeah next time ill pack some grub. £3.50 for a portion of rubbish chips.

KTM and CCM had the best stands for me, i felt Kawazaki was a bit average compared to their stand at the London show but Triumph and Norton were also good.
Oh and Harley was ok

I nearly went to EICMA, but the flights were hilarious. I notice Easyjet fly to MXP, but it's then quite a way and probably a hire car.

I went on Weds and really enjoyed it. I was interested in the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 but ended up preferring the Supermoto.

CCM stand was massive for a small company and while they're not my cup of tea I'm pleased to see them going for it

Indian, Norton and Triumph stands all looked good esp the FTR 1200 and the Triumph Scrambler 1200

My pal has an Ariel "want" and while they seemed expensive a few years ago there seem to a lot more standard bike £20k plus now which made the Ariel look more reasonable(That could well be him working his Man Maths)

The latest ones look amazing, the last time I had a CCM they were truly dire motorbikes though. mine had an Aircooled Suzuki motor (that was great) but the all other parts of the bike were very poor.

I'm sure they have improved a lot? they must have!

Yeah im sure they have. I've not yet read any poor reports from owners of the original spitfire they did.

The only issue at the mo seems to be that they are struggling to build them quick enough . Fir me the prettiest looking bikes around currently

The first bike (the original spitfire) was launched at the NEC last year in a limited number run of 150 bikes and sold out with 4 days.

They have since launched the Scrambler, Cafe Racer, Bonner and now the Flat tracker.

I got a cancelled order and happy to wait. The bit i really like is how you can make then very individual ....

They had what 10+ bikes on the stand and every one looked different. A genuine factory custom

Yes about that....most of the parts are interchangeable so you can specify flat bars on your Flat Tracker for example or change the seat for something different . There is a (must have) billet pack option that gives the bike a real bespoke appeal. The Tracker comes with specially made black cast wheels but you can change these for gold spokes.

Take a look at the website accessories......quite unique

I've got to admit the Indian stand was the only one with anything that I liked the look of. The FTR1200s looked like a nice size, well put together bike with some style, presence and panache. Comfortable to sit on but mainly only for summer days with them being unfaired.

I went on Tuesday, spent about 3 hours wandering around the display stands. Had a 7.50 burger and fries, Burger was the same quality as sold by the local Wickes carpark burger van and the chips were luke warm and a bit soggy. Not impressed to be honest, wish I'd spotted and tried the Pizza stall first.

Anyways, started at Indian, walked through the 4 halls and then wandered back to Indian again just in case we'd missed anything. The only bikes that stood out to me were the Indians and if I ever do buy another bike to replace/supplement my Firestorm the Indians is where I'd start looking. To be honest nothing else really stood out for me.

I can see myself either selling my 900 RS Kawazaki and getting an Indian or just buying an Indian and choosing my own bespoke build. The Bobber is the Indian for me. Very cool bikes

I like the new Foggy Special but not enough to switch my order from the flat tracker....i just think this bike will be a load of fun

It was literally ram packed by mid morning

I went on Friday with Sammy and Aky. It was ok but I'll give it a miss for another half dozen years.

There's not much in the way of new things to keep my interest for any length of time, not even any decent fanny.

Saw Peter Hickman at the back of the show standing by himself so had a good 15 minutes crack with him.
