I thought it was confirmed it is not counter rotating - see asphalt and rubber..

nowhere have I seen mentioned counter-rotating shaft

Seems like Honda did not do much to the 2019 954RR either, just some electronic adjustments.
Well, at least that, Suzuki only put braided brake-lines on their 2019 "update" of GSXR1000.

Must admit the S1K is looking really nice now. Shame about the IL4 layout though,
Why is it shame?
Is it "the sound" malarkey again or you are upset that BMW IL4 is not as expensive to maintain as Aprilia V4?
Have you lived with an RSV4 for any length of time?, they truly are one of the most enjoyable bikes to ride.
Just to clarify there is nothing wrong with IL4s the new S1000RR is going to be an amazing bit of kit I’m sure.

Most of the bikes I’ve owned have been IL4s including the fabled 954 Fireblade which is still one of my favourites, however the V4s I’ve owned have been the best, the way they handle and feel, plus the engines offer the top end revs of a IL4 with more low down-ok not as much as a twin but closer than an IL4, plus have a very linear, smooth power delivery, not to mention they sound the best.

Moving on to the new Aprilia itself, I didn’t think I’d consider ditching the Panigale for one but that new Factory looks amazing, going to stick with the Ducati for now though, if the rumours of the RVF1000R in 2020 are true that is the bike I really want.

Only sampled a few times, haven't owned one. I find RSV4 very desirable, always wanted one but in the end did not get it. Cost and potential problems, I guess for some these are prejudice, but there we go. Same goes for Ducati, 1299S was awesome to ride on the hills, but I would not dream to own one, the negatives overweight the positives for me. No, I am so ok with the "bland" IL4 bikes that "character" is not worth it to me, like I said, I ride my 2002 F4i daily and I am not bored after 5 years.
The new Factory is awesome, no doubt. That's what I said in the beginning.
RVF1000R? Haven't heard of it, what did you hear?
fabled hehe
I get all the low down and high up in my VVT GSXR1000. To be honest, the high up has not been tried at all, I have nowhere to ride these things to much of their potential, even in straight line! Now, 210-220hp S1000RR or RSV4RF, 230hp Ducati, in 5 years we are at 250 I bet, madness! smile

Just heard the price is "under 19,000 euros in Germany", so about £16,600 at today exchange rate, not bad

There’s VAT and differing country specific taxes to consider, but that sounds about right to me. There will be quite a bit to add on to get the full spec bike though, I think, so more likely to be just shy of £20,000 with all the bells and whistles.

According to the email I got from BMW the price starts from £15290 (including VAT). Doesn't say what you get for that and the link to the configarator didn't work.

The quote I heard (YouTube) was from a BMW rep on the stand in Milan, German VAT is 19%, so if you look at the exchange rate thats about £16,600. He said the M version would be about 23-24K euros.

I can see me trading my 2017 single R in for one of these.

As far as the pricing goes, I'm sure the prices listed are for the standard bike. I haven't seen anything yet which confirms how much the `M Package' is? Which from memory adds carbon wheels, a revised tail unit I think and additional rider modes including a configurable mode?

I suspect the carbon wheels alone are likely to add around £2-3k, if not more ?

I'm sure they'll get one, it seems BvG has a good relationship with BMW as he's done some work for BMW Bahnstormer and borrowed bikes from them. He has recently bought a HP4 Race also.

I’d say he’s average fast group pace but I don’t think he claims to be the fastest person ever. He was on a trackday with a few of us on BB when he had that carbon fireblade.

He often talks his pace down in their videos, seems like a nice chap, generally speaking.
