Suddenly the S1000RR looks desirable.

No Brembo calipers anymore? Or is it just labelled as BMW?

Weirdly, on the new GS, the rear calipers are branded as Brembo and the fronts as BMW. Odd.

I understand they’re not Brembo anymore. Hayes or something similar

Some of the new 1250GS have BMW branded 'Hayes' calipers.

I recall that the new supplier for the GS brakes is Hayes - who were a big deal in mountain bike brakes in the 1990s/2000s, but have very low profile now.

A quick search does show a trick looking AMA setup with Hayes calipers and sponsorship.

I like it.

I can immediately see a market for carbon belly fairings - first thing i would look for, as well as a replacement exhaust.

I like the return to non-garish logo's. Simple and effective motorsport colours, unlike the recent large RR logo behemoth in recent years.

Looks far better in the multi colours. Makes the lines pop and stand out. Solid colours might not be its friend.

Good to see a WSBK style underhung swingarm fitted and that cat assembly once removed will shed serious pounds. Just needs an aftermarket belly pan to tidy it up. Not long coming as they're needed for racing anyways so expect these to be readily available in a month or so.
Dash looks nice and it'll be interesting to see what difference a race pipe will make...

. 675 Daytona is one of the best bikes ever made with the triple whine and spread of torque. So there we have it.

You're welcome wink
Bloody hell, that’s a brave statement smile
I can just see MTB spunking in his little Scottish pants reading that

Two things. All of the colour schemes shown so far just look like Fireblade ones of recent years and the front doesn’t help distinguish it either.

The red one above with red paint in a different place and slightly different colour on a couple of covers and you’d have the V4R that everyone’s wking over.

Everyone said they didn't like the look of the initial S1000RR when it first came out, but as soon as they realised how quick and capable it was compared to the competition, and then it started doing really well on the Road Racing scene, everyone was spunking all over it
Personally, I don't care too much for how a road bike looks, as once you add race fairings and a paint job, you can disguise even the ugliest bike (think Previous gen S10000RR, RSV4), but I suspect that new BMW will be a weapon in the race scene

How can you not like it? It’s more or less identical to every other bike that’s been launched recently. For example, if it was a Ducati with the trellis subframe, everyone would be commenting on its nod to history and character, or some other blah.

I like the bike as a whole and can't wait to have a go as i'm sure it'll be awesome, but i have to say I much prefer the front end on the last model. The squinty lights have really grown on me recently.
