Sell some stuff.

Got too many bikes, and last year only rode two of them.

VFR800 went over christmas. TT600, ZX9 and Blackbird all going at some point soon.

Loved the idea of having a collection of bikes - pick one that takes my fancy and head out for a ride, but the reality of keeping on top of MOT and tax, plus maintenance here and there, not to mention having to then clean them and put them back away (locks, optimiser, cover, etc), meant i just couldn't be bothered.

Plus the K1300S pretty much renders the others obsolete - slower, more thirsty, less comfy.

Fit trick suspension and fancy front brakes to my 93 VFR.

And by trick and fancy I mean old VTR/ CBR bit cobbled together off eBay.

VTR suspension was considered "budget" when I owned one almost 20 years ago. The VTR upgrade at that time was to fit the front end off a Fireblade (I can't remember which exact model it was) and it was an upgrade done by a fair number of VTR owners, despite the cost.

I think it was the cbr 929 front end with the 43mm forks that was / is used for upgrading the forks.

I find my VFR forks good enough for me. It's just a wee project for before summer starts.

I have my first ever track day this year, so that is number one! Second is a few nights away in Scotland with my buddy - we normally only go for one night but would like to extend that this year. Third is to ride something bigger and more modern than my 19 year old 600. This may lead me into a situation where the ZX6 becomes a track bike and gets replaced for a newer bike for the road.

1. Get the carbs back on my bd ZX6R, get the bd running and actually ride the bd more than 400 miles like last year
2. Sell old bd ZX6R before it breaks again
3. Buy new 05- ZX6R without bd carbs
4. Do my first trackday on said ZX6R
5. Finally write up my Europe trip from 2016
6. Do trip around central eastern Europe on ZX6R for a few weeks
7. Buy old VFR800 snotter

Sell my worthless, unreliable, expensive, hateful, pile of scrap and buy a bike that won't cost me an arm and leg every month.

Learn how to enjoy riding again instead of worrying what's about to break

Do some advanced riding courses the above bike has prevented me from doing
first part hopefully done!

Only had my full licence 3 months,so-

Sell the Duke 125.

Get as many miles in as poss.

Try the Kent IAM group in the spring.

Do as many further training courses as practicable.

Book Haslam race school.

Do a few novice track days.

Improve enough to justify a bigger bike!

My one goal for this year was to do a Euro trackday. I booked a 3 dayer at Portimao last weekend for the end of April. Can’t. fking. wait! biggrin

I might buy a road bike this year too as I can’t get to as many trackdays as I’d like so maybe that could be goal number 2 for this year.

One step closer!
By the way, the cgi is pretty good on the hazard perception isn't it?

Pretty good for a government organisation that is.
