So what's the deal with the tyres? Rossi, Cal and Jack all seemed to have their races hampered by tyre issues early on.
New surface and absolutely unheard of track temps basically....Mich had to guess what was needed, and how much would you bet on Raceday being 30 plus degrees in the UK ?
There was a 'harder hard' tyre available if anyone wanted it too, but nobody used it at any point during the weekend.
The harder tyre was a 'just in case' if the new surface proved to be very abrasive. Think they described it as a 'safety' tyre in the commentary on BT Sport. I don't think Michelin expected anyone to use it really.
Confirmed, Sam Lowes at Marc VDS Moto2 next year alongside Mini-Marquez.

He shouldn't be anywhere near that VDS bike next season and I can't for the life of me work out how he's pulled that off, even if his missus is VDS PR...
I'm sure that had nothing to do with it and they just want someone to throw it at the scenery in every session. As he says, he may well go great on it, being that it's obviously a very, very good bike and also team, but even if he wasn't on the best machinery previously, if you can't work out where the limit is and rein it back just enough so you don't keep falling off...
