service intervals

any body tell me the service intervals for cbr 600 or any bike for that matter as when i buoght mine i didn't get any service books and it's just gone past 8k which i think is aboot service time .

Most are 4000 for an oil and filter change and 8000 for a major service , so book it in !

Does any one do there own servicing ?

would like to but scared of breaking stuff , well i am an engineer after all

I do my own oil and filter changes and plugs etc , all i leave to the dealers or indipendant mechanic is the valve shims which i dont fancy getting involved with
