New "concept" bike. Very retro and smart indeed.

That tank design is very 60's, a take of the works scramblers ridden by Jeff Smith and others; I like it very much.

That sounds pretty sensible too, aren’t they about the biggest selling bike in the U.K. now?!

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a 300cc A2 compliant single follow too.

If that was their first bike I would buy one without question,

Reminiscent of the 1968 441 Victor scrambler.

I read he could get a maximum of 2 years for the pension fund fraud. If true, that is a ridiculous sentence for stealing £11,000,000.

Lets see how easy it is to get all the money back. He shouldn't be left with any gains.

If he gets 6 years it doesn’t really send out the message,”crime doesn’t pay”.

It's how the legal system is geared, steal at a corporate level and you get off lightly in the UK because it's so common and probably more common amongst politicians and ex-politicians. But steal from the govt by claiming a state benefit or a tax relief you're not entitled to and the penalties are much more severe over what might just be a few thousand pounds.

Look at the recent failures by the top auditors like KPMG - who is in jail for their failures over, to name just one, Carillion ? Nobody. One person fined £150k which for a partner at KPMG is almost irrelevant, plus he can't practice for three years, big deal ! Carillion went down owing £7bn, 3000 people lost their jobs and 100s of smaller contractors and several larger businesses well out of pocket. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/jan/18/c...

Even the directors who "...presented accounts that misrepresented the reality of the business and increased its dividends come what may." https://www.ft.com/content/d50b92ef-c7f9-4f32-aeb5... were just barred from running businesses. Compare this to the sentences for benefits fraud: https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/outlines/bene...

If you're expecting Garner to go down for years I think you'll be disappointed. And much of the money will be hidden.

Ed.
