Mini-Marquez to Repsol Honda.

It will be officially announced tomorrow.
Not really Mini is he ?

He’s about a foot taller than everyone else in his family .

It’s actually quite intriguing.
What if he gels with the bike and is crazy fast?

Intriguing indeed.

I've always thought Mark was better than Alex.

What if his brother blows him into the gravel on the first bend of his first GP smile

I'll eat my hat hehe

Alex certainly didn't rip through Moto2 like his big brother. He seems to have found his form of late of course.

I think it's a good move and it's good for the show.

Daddy Marquez is going to need a chair to sit on and more Valium next year.

Would anyone be questioning it if it wasn’t Alex Marquez?

He’s the Moto2 champion, why shouldn’t he get a decent ride in MotoGP? If it was Fred Smith the Moto2 champion, you’d all just be saying it’s a good move and the right one.

Would you say he was the best rider in the class this year?

Yes. He won the title, it’s extremely unlikely that there is a better rider over a full season’s racing. Who do you think was a better rider than Marquez?

Alex rode his best season ever, deserved the title overall, however...

To win you need to have the machine underneath you, which Brad Binder didn't have until after the summer break. Best rider in the class got rewarded with the second worst bike in MotoGP, IMO. Alex has always been prone to clumsy mistakes (like Sunday), I don't see that changing.

I think Alex will beat 28 points next season, I guess expecting him to hit 215 would be unfair, even if Dani did do it. smile

Not many go straight from Moto 2 to a top factory ride. Only one I can think of is M. Marquez, and Alex isn't in the same league in my opinion (very few are).

I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Interesting to see how Alex does.

Ducati have upgraded Avintia to satellite status.
They’re desperate to get Zarco on their bike.
Will be pretty embarrassing for Zarco to end up riding for Avintia given his comments regarding the team on Saturday.

Gigi has offered him the ‘19 bike he’s not going to get anything better than the very bike that came 2nd on Sunday.

People are forgetting what is going to happen to poor old Marc VDS in Moto2? The prospect of being losing the reigning champion, coupled to the parts bills incoming from Sam Lowes, they'll be drowning their sorrows at the moment I am sure.

Contract welching seems completely acceptable nowadays, no one in the press has even mentioned it! When did this become the norm??

There not .

However if he gets on with the bike he could be like quatarraro , the rider/team out performing the factory bikes.

There was a thing on gp one with the Marc bds owner and he seemed totally fine with am moving into bigger things.
