Will be interesting to see how MD gets on with the Ducati.

Can't believe it's only 3 months to practice week already.

What do we think the chances of the TT being cancelled this year are?

The way the hysteria and overreaction is heading a 1 in 1 chance.

The boats over are clearly a good situation for virus to spread.

It got cancelled for foot and mouth back in 2001. I see this as potentially much worse for the Island's medical services, already stretched in TT fortnight.

I heard yesterday that there is a tentative plan to move the TT to August along with (or possibly instead of) the classic TT and Manx Grand Prix should they be forced into cancelling this years event.

Sadly I’d be amazed if I’d goes ahead at all never mind on the planned dates.

Predictable but devastating nevertheless.

Still, people’s health comes first and it’s only 447 days to the next TT.

Could they not run it in August in place of the Manx?

Not saying they should, just a hypothetical question.

The NW200 will be the next one to be cancelled unless they risk postponing it it until August when the Ulster GP would have been run.

The Road Race season has been decimated but in this case with good cause but it's devastating none the less.

Its definitely gutting, i wonder why they didnt wait closer towards the time to maybe even look at delaying it? I see Olivers mount are doing that..

I'm still staggered that Hicky reckons the best way to go fast at the TT is to spin the rear tyre yikes

Leaving it until nearer the time isn’t really an option - although they were forced to in 2001.

The prep and logistics are huge, the implications for local business is huge.

Prep or the course which is over 37 miles of public roads would normally be starting not long from now. Even just painting the kerbs is a bugle operation, protective equipment, helicopters etc.

Getting the relevant medical support required on from the UK and even police from Europe each year doesn’t just happen over night and looks very unlikely it would be possible this year.

All routine procedures are already cancelled at the hospital during TT to allow for the injuries sustained by tourists and competitors alike. It’s simply not remotely practical to run in the current situation.

Plus, at time of typing we are “officially” Covid free, and desperate to try and stay that way if all possible. Chances are it’s already here though

Anyone managed to get any refunds yet? I booked with Duke and still waiting for any solid news on the refund timescale but told the ferry will get refunded no probs but the accommodation (TT village) is still unknown.

Still gutted. This is the second consecutive year it’s gone wrong for me, it feels as if I am destined to never see any racing.

Nothing as yet I know of people who have paid entry fees & are still waiting to hear whats going on, I'm sure once the lockdown is lifted it'll be sorted.
