Great to see some good reviews, been in 2 minds whether or not to buy one, been even more tempting since they released a Triumph branded one! Going to order one tomorrow smile

I don't think that's the case. Look at the bicycles, most of them have no suspension and if you cycle most of the time you're near curb where the quality of the road is not great. I would argue that on a bicycle you're subject to harsher vibrations that on a motorbike.

I don't think so, they are the same price as the metal bodied ones

ETA - Have tried finding one of the standard 150 quid ones but everywhere seems to be out of stock

If you go off route using a GPX file, can you reload the route to stop it sending you back to a past waypoint, or it just gets confused and want you to start from the start?
It picks up the gpx route as soon as you are back on it, but wont reroute you back to it.

So if you miss a turn you can apply a bit of common sense to get back on track, or if you know where you are going and want to deviate slightly for a while that works too.

Just to bump this back up again, mine has died - either of water ingress or a battery leak - and they're refusing to honour any kind of warranty as it's > 1y old.

Checking the app I've only used it 20 times over 800 miles - can anyone share their stats for how many times they've used theirs, and if they've used them in the rain?

Top tip. Does each one have a unique identification number. If not just buy a new one and then return the broken one with the new receipt. Then flog the replacement on ebay.

Thanks, but they're both serial and date etched on the back...

I lasted a week with mine. Rode about 300 miles with it but just didn't get on with it. Complex junctions and turnings close together seemed to confuse it (or possibly me) too much. It looked pretty, but now I've got a Garmin Zumo which does the job lots better

Mine lasted half an hour, then died. Got my money back, but the shop said they were getting loads returned as faulty. Bad batch?

That looks factory. But god, how on earth can you live without removing the protective film?
I'd literally tested it up the road and back from my dads, took the film of now! It'd drive me mad too if I didn't. biggrin
My dad won't take the protective film off ANYTHING! When I get new stuff I wait til he visits before de-filming it and making him wince.
They still have it on their TV and my poor mum still has it on her iPhone as he won't let her remove it.

My dad is "mildly eccentric".

Bumpity bump...

What does the 'journey progress' dial indicate?

Sometimes it is oriented from the left i.e. 11 to 12 o'clock and sometimes from the right i.e. 1 to 12 o'clock.

Also, how do I take gpx files from calimoto and import them to Beeline? Either via ios or from the PC?

Update to my original..my Beeline was on an old Fireblade. I have just treat my self to a new S1000RR with the built in sat nav. It is a more sophisticated version of the Beeline in that it directs by arrows but gives added information. I have just arrived at my hotel 2 hours behind the time it said I would arrive. Not all the sat navs fault but it struggled with a route change. Considering my Beeline was £150 and the BMW came
' free' with a £19000 motorbike...the rest of my journey will be with Beeline stuck on the screen with a sticky pad...this is not a slur on BMW just a little vote of confidence for my cheap little Beeline.

Percentage of the whole trip completed.

Must admit I miss my Beeline, but after their crap customer service I'm not sure I'm desperate enough to buy another.

Fascinating, thanks! I can't tell you how hard it is to find that info from youtube videos and the faq section.

What on earth does customer service have to do with the use ability and functionality of the beeline? I have to say, I'm not 100% sold on it yet.

Mine lasted half an hour before expiring. Got my money back but I can’t say I’m rushing to get another. It’s a pity because I liked the premise of it.

Basically my barely-used one packed in at 14 months old due to a material/manufacturing defect and the best they would do is give me £15 off a new one.

My girlfriend bought me one for Christmas 2020. I waited until the weather got better in spring and gave it a go with mixed results. It generally got me where i wanted to go, but sometimes got confused and took me the wrong way. I didn't find it as intuitive as many people suggested. I had another go, and it seemed fine.

Unfortunately, it broke the next time i used it. This year. Charged it, turned it on and it tried updating. It stayed on that screen for the rest of its working life. Because of its age, I didn't bother speaking to beeline as they wouldn't cover it from what I read online, although it seems you can send them broken units and theyll replace with a working one for £50. I won't buy another, not when a phone does a better job and isn't any more inconvenient to place on your bars.
