Hi All.
Bit of an update: although this thread is about Mod 1, which I managed third time lucky last week, this morning I had my Mod 2.
The weather was, erm, interesting. Below zero, then sleeting, which covered my visor in rain, which then froze (!), however I was happy with how the test went and felt confident I'd passed. And my confidence was not mis-placed - I passed with zero minors.
Super chuffed with the result . Perhaps made better following on from the 2 x Mod 1 disappointments.
Anyway beer tonight and then the annoying wait until my bike is ready come mid-April.
Ride safe all

I hated the Mod 1, it felt far more like a test and Mod 2, which just felt like going for a ride to me, the guy was following me in a car and I think that helped; no guy on a bike covered in day glo stickers behind me.
I failed my Mod 1 on my first attempt as I was going too slow on the figure of eight and I put my foot down and then foolishly stopped, nerves pure and simple. I felt like a right mug afterwards and when I went for my second try (passed without issue) I was bricking it.
Mod 2 passed first time, then they let me ride back to the training yard on my own, so I took the vis vest off (company name and number on the back) and gave that little SV650 some right welly

Love it!When packing up from the test centre and about to ride home, I asked my instructor whether we needed to mic-up. His answer: "Well you're a fully licensed bike rider now mate. It's up to you how you want to ride back".
Brilliant feeling

Congratulations! What a day to do it too - been sleat and snow all day by me so even half of that wouldn't have been fun to ride in, let alone be tested in!When packing up from the test centre and about to ride home, I asked my instructor whether we needed to mic-up. Just like you I took three attempts to pass MOD 1 but passed MOD 2 first time. I remember going back to work the same afternoon and could barely contain my excitement!
The best bit is that you'll probably never need to perform another U-turn again!

Congratulations! That's very impressive. You're probably riding better than I am. Passing a test in conditions like that with no minors may suggest you get started on some advanced training while you're still fresh and delivering performances like that?ghibbett said:

I'll hopefully be going through everything again this year. Got my MOD1 done previously but through personal issues, a house move and the riding schools incompetency when it came to scheduling my theory lapsed. Bah.
Can't wait to get back in to it, just need the funds!
I iamgaine you could pay the theory at £20 and just book in the mod1 for similar cost and forgo the training? Can't wait to get back in to it, just need the funds!
