Another Bike Stolen
Discussion
Not just another Duc dealer - Moto Rapido - big supporters of BSB as well.
Its always st when this happens, and I really do feel for Wilf and gang....
When I worked at OYB we had the first burglary at the then new Wescott site - they stole 3/916 and 1/748, including a Senna,
To see the level of planning they had done was mazing, but Ive never felt so sick and angry at work before,it really is horrible.
Plod arent bothered, your Insurnace will go up, and more importantly - the profit from those bikes is lost as Ins only pay out cost price.
100% that bike will end up on a track somwehere.

Police response very disappointing, given this was a well planned and professional high value burglary.
Even by today's miserably low standards, it's a poor show.
I can't imagine for a minute the Police didn't attend that with CSI attendance following later on. Seriously ? Even by today's miserably low standards, it's a poor show.
Intrigued as to how they picked a point that bypassed the alarm and CCTV....so that means a Crime prevention follow up to give some suitable advice .
Did none of this stuff happen?

I’m sure it did but it’s been posted on Facett so it must be true. Intrigued as to how they picked a point that bypassed the alarm and CCTV....so that means a Crime prevention follow up to give some suitable advice .

They did this to Carnells in Stockport about 15 years or so ago.
That's how I reckon I'll be getting robbed for my bikes/tools next time - ramming the doors down carries the risk of bringing the pillar down and consequently the entire building, so (assuming they don't get in the house and beat me up for all the keys) they'll either be in through the walls or pull tiles off the roof and be in through there.
To that end my inner walls are clad in thick stirling board and the roof has impact sensors, the roof space and garage interior also covered by PIRs. Not much else I can do. Thieves are so blatant now that you're basically fked if they find out where you live, no matter where that is.

More likely to prosecute the owners of the shop for health & safety/not wearing PPI on a dangerous site than pursue the thieves. I had the glass in the front door of my office smashed during the night a few years back, I reported it to the Police first thing in the morning and they said they'd attend shortly.
Turned up around 6pm by which time I'd had the glass repaired, the Copper was very shirty with me, virtually accusing me of lying about it and wasting his time because there was no broken glass, I certainly wouldn't bother reporting it again...
When I had my bike stolen the police couldn't give a st. I got a letter from them a couple of weeks afterwards - a "you've dealt with the police recently - how did we do?"
It took me a good 10 minutes to remember if I'd really with the police recently, such was the level of their involvement.
