Good choice sir, you won't be disappointed wink

Back on topic, I quite fancy one of the later 990 KTM Adventures in the Dakar colours but fk me they're getting expensive. I've been watching a few and clean ones with under 20k on the clock are now making 6-7K and upwards

Delighted with the old girl..
Which model is it, an RR X (199, last carburetted)?

That’s the one I had, in turquoise, and I really regret selling it. It was as-new when it went, sold for £3,600. It’s probably worth more now.

Went for the test ride of Street Triple RS....and the two bikes they still had were sold, one lucky (newbie, still no licence) buyer picked up the gray bike just as I was there. frown

But the white Speed Triple RS looks super-nice as well.

The mat black yuck + yellow paint really does not do these bikes justice.

Now, I know next year we have the new Speed Triple, probably lighter than 217kg of the current bike, given the low exhaust...but the current model with fat ass and underseat mufflers looks so classic and that 1050 engine is a proven quantity.

Damn, I am so torn, because Daytona that I have is such a splendid middle-weight supersport... weeping

Z1000R Performance... wanted one for ages and planned on a 2021 model, but it seems Kawasaki are deleting the model thanks to COVID manufacturing re-setting ... plus the line between the Z900 and ZH2 is too close to justify marketing all three models. I did try a Z900, but it felt very lightweight and tinny compared to my current Z1000, and I just want an old school (non-supercharged) thou to see me out!

Picking up what could be the last one in the UK on Tuesday on a ‘70’ and can’t blooming wait!

(NB Akro’s and other goodies will be fitted!)
good choice sir, when i get a newer bike i like the look of Kawasaki nakeds

Sounds like a great upgrade. I adored my Gen1 ZZR14 2006 to 2009, but the run out version, whilst still stonkingly capable is very dated. Mind you, you may find yourself a little less comfy?!

I had a ZX10R before the ZZR1400.. it was stolen whilst I was living in London. I don't live in or near that st hole anymore.

Its been 17 years since I last bought a brand new bike so I thought I'd treat myself. My previous 10R was a 2009, last 10R I rode was a 2015. Couldn't be bothered to test ride the 2020 so more excited for collection.

I used to think my Street Triple was biblically fast with about 95bhp at the back wheel. Isn’t the Ducati something like 200 bhp? That’s just insane.

208bhp at the crank I think. Unfortunately the roads wouldn't allow getting higher up in the revs, but the v4 seems incredible from what I experienced. Tractable down low, bags of mid range and then seems like it just keeps picking up from there.

well, my Daytona was mine from 0km on the clock, noone rode it but me, and it is under 9000km currently.

Secondly, I do not know what itch to scratch, I like both the grey Street RS and the sparkly white Speed RS. And test ride will not help, I like them both.

Flip a coin smile If the wrong side comes up then you'll definitely know what you want biggrin If the Daytona is really sentimental then keep it and enjoy it. Personally for me I'd rather let something go and regret it than hold on to it and always wonder what could of been!

Test rode one at an event last year. Had a good hour on it on country roads. A really satisfying all-round bike that looks good for a fair price. In the spring I may well have a go on the standard one as I might find the upright position a tad more practical.
