It doesn’t work like that though. There’s a new tyre for a start that the 2019 bike didn’t have to cope with. Engine allocations may be compromised, as it might not be a straight swap into the old chassis. Restrictions on fairing changes means having to run this years choices on last years bike and there will be more than that too. k up and get the old bike out and have all the riders scoring points than the cluster fk they have now .Next year they have miller and bagnia do you honestly see them in contention for the title when you've got the suzukis , petronas , both marquez brothers and nakagami all scoring .
Ask me it’s the Lorenzo effect. He leaves Yamaha and two years later, which is the first without his input they struggled quite a lot with a poor bike. This is Ducati’s second season without him and this years bike isn’t great.

That's a very good point. To be honest I think it's adapting to the new tyres and in terms of time they're not that far off but in a competitive class the nths matter and the teams aren't delivering.Go go SL22!
