Had to go to two business meetings in Oxford St, London on Friday - sun was shining so took the ZZR. After riding around for ages I found a space in a bike bay in a road off Oxford St. When I returned to the bike I found that the bike had been moved out of the bay by some £%&*, and that I'd been awarded a £40 (rising to £80) ticket for the privilege. It must have been obvious that something was afoot, because the alarm was screaming away. I phoned Westminster today and they told me that I had to prove the circumstances to get the ticket rescinded. I think I'm going to carry a camera around with me in future and photograph the bike when I park it...

I do carry a small digital camera with me when I ride or drive just for such an occasion or an accident. I can recommend the Mustek Gsmart mini 2 £40. Cheap, small, great pictures.
