They are publishing the prices on a US site

Pan America - starting at $17,569
Pan America Special - starting at $20,249

At the proper exchange rate it looks quite competitive but at 1:1I’m out

I am not a HD fan, as they dont really fit my riding style or size, but I am really interested in the Pan Am.

I am in the US and the prices are VERY competitive. 150HP, just shy of 100 lbs/ft and not too heavy, all for $20k! Its a good price when you compare that to BMW GS which is really a $24k motorcycle when you add some of the essential items. The dealer network, accessories and potential for some of the standard spec, it does look good.

The looks are little odd, but I have to say that those 'nightbreaker' lights are excellent and the standard cornering ABS and cruise are interesting. Just have to see what the ride is like.

Maidstone HD seem to be the first to reveal UK prices!

£14k for a base model looks pretty bang on to me.

From a Harley lover I hope it does well - I am not in the market for a bike like this and it seems fair to say they are up against some pretty established and proven competition.

Price is key I feel, got to add though... not really a Harley is it...

Harleys are not too bad on price if you look at the USD price and you are paid in GBP, whereas Euro imports like BMW are expensive in USA so expect it to be very competitive in the huge home market and will probably sell well.

By the time something in USD makes it over here, its never quite the same e.g. a new Corvette thats a relative $65k bargain some how ends up being over £80k

Will be interesting to see the UK pricing.

Think it's got a great retro look, very cool I think.

Hopefully people hate it so much it depreciates quickly so I can get a used bargain in a few years!

£14k base seems OK?

$18k or $20k for the models in the US (not forgetting tax, registration etc) makes it very competitive here. A Multistrada V4 is $18k or $24k and a BMW GS is really a $19k or $24k motorcycle! So its bang on the price and spec, since there are only a few extras on the PanAm, but it will be interesting to see what the out-the-door price will be - HD does a really good job of liberating more money from customers that way....

Glad to see that they have priced it appropriately for the UK market though! They could have gone high and claimed exclusivity, but seems that they want to crack this market. Good!

If Long Way Up had of been done on these then they would have a hit on their hands.

Sorry, my bad, missed that, yes that is a great price for a big adventure bike, especially from a premium brand.

If it performs as well as its peers, then hopefully HD should be onto a winner.

The fuel tank seems to have increased overnight!

Now being quoted as a 21 litre tank - much better.

As above, let’s hope it performs!

So the 'Special' with a base price of £15,500 can have all optional extras and still come in under £17,000.

That includes adaptive ride height, semi-active suspension, stainless steel laced wheels, advanced LED 'Daymaker' headlight, heated grips, centre stand, etc.

All models have 5 riding modes, with more advanced features on the Special. Good video here:

And let's face it, the competition is hardly pretty:

Do we have to say TM every time we say Pan America (TM)?

I think the spec and price are competitive (but not a bargain) so looking forward to hearing how it rides now.

So no PCP offered. Base model bang on £14k on the road. Next model up which has 'wire' wheels and more colour options along with adaptive suspension £16,950 on the road. No discounts sir so either outright purchase or finance them at Harleys rates...

Can't wait to see one in the flesh.
