Did you lie on your stomach to take that photo?
Not exactly! My Nikon D750 has a nice flip out screen which allows you to put it on the ground and look down at the screen easily.
Not happy with that picture though, my poorly kept bushes in the background are too messy, it’s all I see each time I look at that photo.
Fortunately we have our 100 acre wood that I can use for a better background scene, haven’t taken it down there yet because the main drive and track is still under pools of dirty water, but hopefully they will dry out soon.

I would have to agree on the temp, but that was last weekend when we had a bit of sun, so I think it got to like 12C, which felt positively balmy after all the wintry weather. But it’s back to cold again, hence why I was only in the garage again, it was 4C for most of the day here today, too cold for me for biking!
I’ve just taken Wilbur for a walk and run around the wood, he likes to chase the deer!
It’s drying out nicely in places, but the access road is still too deep for a bike, my Defender was labouring through it a few weeks ago, but it’s much dryer now.
Shouldn’t be too long and I can use it a a better background.

Hey Nigel! It seems we have a similar taste in vehicles, I love my Africa Twin and Defender. Your beautiful photos are inspirational! They say imitation is the sincerest form a of flattery, so here is my effort, what do you think?
My 2018 ATAS fuel filler...
Sneaky Landrover shot....
My wood is a bit smaller than yours, but the light this evening is great for photos...

FWIW mine is an ‘18 manual, bought similar to yours at under 500 miles old. Now over 12K and I love it to bits! Best mod for me was the rugged roads air dam, cheap and effective against wind buffeting which seems to come up past the forks. Heed crash bars are a good upgrade over the standard ones for off road. The little SW motech tank bag is ace. Cool Covers seat cover I really like for longer distance summer rides. Been to Alps, Mallorca, Pyrenees, Wales etc on it, plenty off off road too and the bike has been spot on for all. The original Dunlop tyres were horrible! Ditch asap IMHO. Currently have Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR fitted, and have had Metzeller Karoo Street, both very good.
Like many of us I had the old 750 Africa Twin back in the day, lovely bikes and beautifully built. Saw the ‘new’ ATAS in the dealers, got all nostalgic, and had to have one in those colours! Yours is a beauty... Enjoy!
