Or belt buckle, or ring, or pendant...

I actually would quite like one, but only for going for a ride with the mrs. She doesn't enjoy any sort of speed on a bike so would be nice to have something slow and comfortable to take her out with me. Couldn't have one as my only bike though
I got one because a big part of riding for me is having my gf on the back and going for a cruise to the beach. My old daytona 600 was fun to hoon on but i decided pretty early on that I'd rather ride slowly and enjoy the wind on my face.

Ironically, my car is what i go hooning in and is significantly faster than the bike.

Excellent! How are you finding it and what is the real range? I bought a Tesla in December and now seriously looking at an EV bike smile
I’ve no idea why anyone would want an ev bike unless it was a little scooter.
Exactly. Little town commuter? Fine.
Petrol bikes, even big ones, are already very economical. EV bikes not only look pants and unbalanced to the eye, but are heavy and a 1 speed, totally silent motorcycle really makes me want to get ready for a day out in the bends or on the track. Well, as much as a trip to my dentist does, anyway!
Versus a 1900cc Harley, 1300cc Ducati twin or 1000cc R1 going up through the gears? No contest. But i guess we already did the EV petrol thread!
Ah yes the junior poster that has an opinion on everything on all forums. So you own an RS6 and an R1 and all other bikes are judged against this? Neither are fast by todays standards. You've never actually ridden an electric bike nor understand their concept? I've owned several superbikes and I can tell you that the acceleration is brutal when compared a puny R1. Of course we all get our knees down on the road at every roundabout and weave through the traffic like Spiderman etc. Some of us older (experienced) riders don't choose flat out power, we like torque. How does the R1 compare? It doesn't. Of course if you ride on the road like you do on the track then you obviously are above us all as riders and the law doesn't apply to you. Whether you like it or not EV bikes are future and if the current offerings don't impress, future versions will. You and Jason61c will get on fine - both being uneducated EV haters, or people that cannot afford them. ICE dinosaurs as we call it on forums in EV land wink Seriously you will have to do better than that. Bring it on biggrin

Range? The tech is advancing way faster than ICE is with cruisers capable of 300 miles +

A mate of mine is starting his license soon and has his mind set on a Harley, must be the image he's drawn too. I've told him not to buy a bike until he's passed as guarantee once he's rode a bike for a bit even if it is the learner bike, he'll want something more rider involved. If he still wants a HD then fair enough, he'll just have to try and keep up.

My only issue with Harleys is that I know a few dheads who ride them (for balance I know more dheads who don't ride them). The projected company image is also about rebellious individualism, but again they are not the only offenders in this respect, and you don't have to buy into all that anyway.

The way I see it, you may as well own a bike that makes you feel good, and if you feel good riding a Harley Davidson then go ahead and buy one (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise).

Here's a pic of my late Dad, back in the early 1950s. He was 16 or 17 at the time.

The Harley was War Department surplus and was bought in the crate.

Note the Wellies, tank top and the shirt and tie, which rather confirms that Harley riders have been dressing like plonkers for decades.

So correct, you can’t fall off a car. I loved sports bikes when I was younger, but the tron look is just stupid to me now. Superbikes are daft on the road.
I like a Harley , but not the overly large showboats , more the ratty old ironheads and hard tail chops

There’s a whole world of bikes between race replicas and Harleys though.

Yeah, exactly ....I like all kinds of bikes, and I cant say I dislike any particular type. Its fun to ride anything with 2 wheels. Given enough money and space I would fill a garage with dozens of different styles and brands.

Great pic of your dad Pat ...I would like a 40s WLA in my collection too smile

'promises'...I'll eat my pisspot if that lives up to the claims if it ever makes it to market. Usual crowdfunding puffery, and it looks utterly dire.
