I do the Nod whenever possible but I was taught to only nod at first and last rider of a group. Anything with Deliveroo or similar on the back is a waste of time. Even with my L plates on I get a nod by most riders but they look and wait for a nod themselves first. Must be figuring out who's going to nod and who isn't!

Here on the continent where the clutch hand is towards the centre line with the throttle hand towards the gutter, it's simple - we give a wave with the left hand and everyone does it.

In Austria and other German areas of Europe that I travel around we give a hand up or two fingers if it’s all ok, and if there are polizei then a slow down signal.

You’re in the minority here if you don’t wave.
As we drive on the left, it's more difficult to let go of the bars on the side nearest the oncoming biker.

I nod at anything. deliverooers, mopedders, learners, Harley riders, GS riders.

Last person no to wave was a bloke on a busa with an open face helmet.
Which kind of explains something, although I'm not sure what.
