Got the blade out for commute the other day.
Since having the dynojet kit fitted it’s rubbish below 5k tho, once it’s warm it really bogs down. Wondering if the pilots need reducing. Guess it’s at the stage of needing a rolling road now…

Did the dynojet kit come with instructions of where to set your air screw? Might need leaning off a bit if the kit came with bigger pilots

Yes, they provide the lot. Just turn up. On Saturday, there were 15 people, split into 3 groups of 5. Each group got around 20 minutes per hour on the bike and 40 minutes talking to mates/recovering. It's bring your own drinks and food.

Check the main needle jet, they usually wear oval and make the low/midrange very rich and fluffy. Since having the dynojet kit fitted it’s rubbish below 5k tho, once it’s warm it really bogs down. Wondering if the pilots need reducing. Guess it’s at the stage of needing a rolling road now…
You can just about see the jet is worn oval here.
NRP do them, I found the easiest way to get the old ones out of the carbs was to run an M4 tap through them then thread a stud in and use small slide hammer to pull them out. Then press the new ones in carefully.
Made a massive difference to my Blade, which fuels crisply low down again. At the very least, do this before you get it on a dyno, so the fuelling can be set up properly..

Not sure tbh. They were fitted by a garage who told me to get it RRed afterwards. Did the dynojet kit come with instructions of where to set your air screw? Might need leaning off a bit if the kit came with bigger pilots

It's booked in at Moorespeed but they can't fit it in until mid late august

Blimey that’s proper ovalled! Cheers for the tip
The bike had a original dynojet kit fitted when it was practically new (in 1998) and they used stainless needles, which destroyed needle jets for a hobby! The needles weren’t much better, too. Suffice to say the bike ran very rich, low down.bgunn said:

Yeah that's how mine feels. It almost bogs down once warm in the lower range. Stuff like pulling out of junctions is a bit on/off.black-k1 said:

I did the KTM MX experience a few months back near Winchester and it was great fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone who hadn't been off-road before and has an interest. I think the Winchester track is slightly smaller than some of the others so tempted to get a few mates together to try Golding Barn and make a weekend of it. What was Golding like?
I wanted to try out MX as I enjoy anything two-wheels related so wanted to see if there's a future in motocross and/or green-laning. I also broke my left wrist and badly sprained my throttle wrist in a motorbike crash a few years ago and haven't been on a bike since so I wanted to see how my wrists would hold up in an environment where it can be quite hard work on the wrist. Thankfully they held up quite well so I'm back on the look-out for a road bike!

Wow been 12+ years since I was last there. Got told the place was closed down
From what I recall Barry saying, Golding closed down to the public but the track owners rent it out to him to use for the MX experience. Also, good luck with your recovery Birky. I always enjoy reading your posts on these forums whilst I lurk and you've turned me into a bit of an Aprilia fanboy!
