That's a great pic
Absolutely! That is a brilliant picture! thumbup

Is the model bike the same as the actual bike? If yes, then even better.
Thanks! Sadly not the same bike. No Velocette models available frown

I took my new Africa Twin 1100 for its first proper ride out yesterday.

Stopped off at Wellesbourne Touchdown cafe for Tea and Cake.

Always lots of bikers there.

Then on the Stratford to Alcester road you have the Piston Club at the Stag Pub.

Again always lots of car and bike meet ups, and they do an excellent big breakfast too!
I stopped in at the Piston Club a couple of Sunday's back, arrived at about 11:10 and they'd stopped serving food at 11 (preparing for lunch at 12 apparently) ... Was starving too.

Nice pics, I was going to go, but my old mans got a busted knee ATM.
Bless him, my Dad was trying hard to buy another bike , luckily each time he went back to the stand, the owner was elsewhere...My Mum would not have been impressed...biggrin

It snowed on Saturday, but was warm enough on Sunday for a quick blast out on the local trails.

Lucky.. the managed trails here are still closed, likely only opening up on the 1sr of May....Big Trial coming up on the 4th/5th of May so thankfully I'll be able to stretch the legs.....

My mate is building this for a customer.. a 70's Z650 rebuilt as a 90's streetfighter, the bike he always wanted back in the day. Hence the use of older three spoke wheels and forks from ZX7R. It'll have two big round headlights and standard Z650 bodywork. The engine is from a GPz750 turbo, but taken out to 810cc with a bigger. modern turbo. Should make over 150bhp, depending on boost.

Had an amazing time in Wales at the weekend. First tour of the year, 762 miles, camped in Abergavenny and did the Gospel Pass yesterday morning on the way home. I cycled the pass when I was 15 years old. God knows how!

Who needs an adventure bike eh?

Make sure he has an extra big oil cooler.

My 1260S Multi was in the workshop for cam belts last Friday and they gave me this as the loaner.
Great bike, loved the engine, the heated seat was a nice extra and the blind spot detector actually proved useful on several occasions.
But £23.5K is a bit too much of a stretch for me right now !

First ride where it was actually sunny and kinda of warm. My only complaint is I wore a clear visor thinking it wouldn't be sunny and couldn't see fk all, and the Italian chippy I was looking forward to in Stirling was shut. I'd been tasting that stone cooked pizza the whole ride, what a fking let Doon.

Was there much difference in performance? How about the smoothness of the engine in comparison?

I felt he V4 was defo more smooth across the range, especially the low rpms. My DVT 1260 is reasonable smooth compared to other ducati's I've owned, but the V4 is better.

I only rode at legal speeds as the bike only had 80 miles on it and I value my licence. But it felt more than fast enough.
If my bike is stolen or written off and I find another £10K in the back of the sofa, Id buy one !

Got the Tuono out Saturday & a mid week ride to Gr. Bentley although no pics

Started going through and servicing my GSXR after Almeria in the evening. These were fresh GPFAX pads at the start of the event. 4 days in fast group not missing any sessions and they have just got to their end. Pretty good going I thought

Then sunday took my boy MX after he had 2 1/2 years out. He rode my 1995 and I rode my 1989 CR250. It was like he had never stopped and still run some cracking pace although fitness got the better of him

Me on the 1989 - I look like a right lump on this

My boy chasing me in this picture

And then all the Evo and Super Evo together. Bike on far end is my old 1996 CR250 which I sold to a good friend who I've been racing with since 1994

Hands were raw after though especially the clutch finger giving the old girl a little tickle and keeping it on song at times

Not had to change them yet, they were changed when I bought it and it only has 4900 miles on the clock..

But I’ve had a taste as I fitted trickle charger cables to the battery.. what a pia that was! smash

Brilliant bike, but that monocoque frame makes working on it a bit of a ball ache!

Lovely idea... Just the sort of thing that appeals to me, having had similar many moons back.
A mate picked up a "streetfightered" GSX1100 t'other day. It's been dead for about ten years apparently, but we're all excited now as we've found it's fitted with 33mm Smoothbores... hmm... wonder what else is going on in there?
