Maybe pre covid but they all start at almost 9k now
There's a private 30k one on ebay IIRC £6750 but yes the low mileage ones are £8500+Regardless, even at the asking price, they’re an utter bargain. What would a similar age multistrada be, 10k+?

Asking prices, not selling prices. Jan, with new models coming in and new regs, I reckon you could get a chunk off.
IME with used bikes bought from Dealers they are the same thing (although I only phone on bikes that are cheap)I rarely discount mine and max £200

Having spent way too much time thinking about my next bike that needs to be a Sports Tourer with emphasis on Sports, I can't get past the H2 SX. Especially when I started reading about the cheap tuning options
I've looked at them too but the Kwak was over £900 to insure compared to around £430 for the SDGT, then also the long term costs and the obvious seating position. Hell of a bike though. I've just remembered I have a test ride arranged on sat (on that kwak national test ride tour thing) which I think would be wise to cancel now. At will at least free a space on the H2 SX SE for someone else but will also stop me diverging...
[edit - test ride now cancelled on the H2 SX SE]

Deposit down on 2017 SDGT with 14500 miles. Seems good nick.
Trading in a 2021 GSXS1000F which has been faultless apart from being cheap.
Should I be nervous about reliability? Always wanted one of these
I recently got a SDR instead of a GSXS1000, you only live once. Trading in a 2021 GSXS1000F which has been faultless apart from being cheap.

Some people get unlucky with KTM issues, way more than seem to do with Suzuki.
I’m not sure what you mean about the Suzuki being cheap. In subjective terms the KTM will appear to be cheaper still. Suzuki in my experience know where to spend money for longevity, KTM know where to spend it for their own profit.

It's a strange statement I admit. I think it's more the fact that, pound Stirling per pound sterling, the Suzuki was the most logical choice. And bikes are 95% just for fun in my house. Some people get unlucky with KTM issues, way more than seem to do with Suzuki.

I was never a huge fan of the looks, like most. It isn't that bad, but I suppose it's the compromise I made. I mean it was 9300 quid pre reg. Engine is great but miss a vtwin in all honesty. Want some gen 1 tuono vibes again but more modern. Plus I actually like the looks of the GT, although I accept it's a bit marmite.
I doubt it's going to be much quicker than the Suzuki in a straight line
I’ve just fired mine up after six months of it sitting in the garden. A smattering of warning messages, resolved by a one hour thrash and all good to go again. Now at 42k miles with very little love and it just keeps going.
Hilariously fast, entertaining, comfortable, indestructible - I quite like it…….
