MOTOGP grid 2023
Discussion
It has been a career ruiner this year that seat, although I have no idea why Fernandes got the Aprilia ride he basically gave up after about 4 races, at least Remy tried and got in the points a few times but I gather both were pushing Poncharal to the limit, or rather their managers were, so perhaps it came down to Dorna/money.

I think the general consensus is the Fernandez has a higher performance ceiling than Remy, and they're hoping that if you nurture him and treat him the way he needs to be treated he'll rediscover his Moto 2 form that made him such hot property last year (like what Aprilia seem to be successfully doing with Maverick in the factor team this year). Also I believe RNF and Aprilia both tried to sign him for the 2022 season, so now they've joined forces he would surely be their top pick.
Do feel sorry for Remy though
I do not think it is the Red Bull way, it is the KTM way.
Zarco had the right idea, to simply drop the ball and hope to get picked up elsewhere.

- it is clear that KTM are very up and down with their bike design, sometimes it is spot on, but most oif the time they miss the ball a bit.
Haven't seen the press conference. He's keeping it low key top of the standings in practice today though.
Pole last race and finished 4th, beating all the championship contenders. First race back at Aragon he was dynamite off the start, just like the old Marc. All this on a dog of a bike.
I really think this is looking very ominous for the competition next year.

What about the other Honda riders, how does it make them look when he comes back not 100% and wipes the floor with them, or even Mir who will be his team mate next year. Going from the Suzuki that Petrucci has described as a fantastic handling bike compared to the Ducati and KTM he rode.

Same story with Crutchlow and Morbidelli. It feels like Mir has lost his mojo this year. Perhaps Suzuki pulling out has effected him? I hope he's back on it next year, but I don't fancy his chances on the Honda.
Petrucci was on the Dovi era Duke that didn't turn well remember.
