Still no Haslam announcement?

Testing starts soon does it not ?
It’s a done deal, so should be announced super soon once they get final sponsor details sorted
I’ve seen the bike, so it’s definitely happening

Re testing: he was in Cartagena testing the bike 3 weeks ago (albeit in a stock format)
Are we still waiting for the announcement?
yes

First official test underway, Kyle Ryde quickest from Leon Haslam who is riding a BMW but no official announcement on his plans yet.

Most impressive for me??
Max Cook, 12th quickest and right behind his team mate by 3/10's of a second and only 2.4 off the leader. For his first official test on a Superbike that is pretty good going and he is by far the quickest of the new guys at the moment*

* Not including Jack Kennedy who is 7th at the end of the first day

Is it time to go racing yet? bouncebounce

Good to see Haslam does indeed have a ride.

In other news Hutchy had a stroke 2wks ago whilst cycling. O'Halloran apparently saved his life after it happened. That man has been through some serious st in his time.

I'm assuming someone who has a BMW for him.

Perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions scratchchin

Brand new bike, not from another team
Not a team mate to anyone in an existing team either
Deal’s done, but final details aren’t sorted, so no announcement yet

I know it’s a standing joke on this page but I hope he has a decent seat and a good season.
Nice lad is Leon and he’s had a decent career.

Hoping for a good and safe season for everybody involved.

On the right package, he’s still got a few BSB titles left in him.

Yesterday's man. Podiums, maybe if everything falls right, a race win, but over a long season, against younger hungrier riders, I really don't see it.

I’ll be interested to see the odds when the bookies update for this year. I think he started last year at 12/1, it will need to be longer than that this year to attract many punters.

Good question. I've stopped watching BSB now as Discovery too over Eurosport.

No more £20 annual subs.

Looks like some but not all rounds will be shown live for free. Highlights for all.

Google told me this:

https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-vie...

I've subscribed to Discovery Plus to stream Eurosport on Amazon TV. Its OK but the Amazon interface is cack, and it's a pain to fast forward or rewind. Best I can get this year really (and better than nothing!).

I’d read that Completely Motorbikes were involved but they don’t have a BMW Motoradd franchise (or maybe yet)

Anyone heading to the test at Donington this weekend?

I might pull the bike out and have a ride down there for 1 of the days assuming it’s going to be dry down there.

According to British Superbikes website, a team is using the GSXR750R in British Supersport this year.
That's a bit of an unfair advantage i would wager

It depends if Ducati can basically use a 1000cc twin in Supersport I can not see the problem, it will be heavier and no doubt restricted somewhat, I happen to think SS might become a brilliant varied class in the future, more so than Superbike actually.
