Honda ran 3 bikes last year. Andy is a great rider and a BSB winner. I would imagine Honda would want another rider at the front and winning races.
Like has been said previously, if they’ve announced Jason at Yamaha, why not Taz.

Are there not any seats left in WSBK for Tarran. He’s clearly a world class rider.
Makes you wonder why he couldn't secure a seat in WSBK, he wins BSB and has to come back to defend his title. Brad Ray wins BSB and allegedly gets a seat in WSBK for the next year.

Is it down to the different managers? Curious.

As for Honda in BSB, yes they did run 4 riders this year but with both Takahashi and Mizuno moving on, i suspect they will stay with two riders in the official team and two at Padgetts.

I don’t think there are unfortunately. Think his chance was last season but it didn’t end up happening for whatever reason.

The Showdown format has been canned for 2023, last three rounds get extra points though.
As best i can work it out, 18 for a win and so forth up to last two rounds, that increases to 25 then last round winner gets 35.

At least if someone like O'Halloran dominates the bulk of the season again, whoever it is might be a deserving winner rather than getting mugged at the end of the season.

Good riddance to the showdown.

The way it works looks like this.

Normal points awarded for every round except for the final 3 rounds.
18-16-14-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

The first 2 rounds of the final 3 rounds points will rise as follows.
25-22-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

For the final round ONLY the following points will be awarded.
35-30-27-24-22-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

You're more likely to be mugged now than the showdown.
You can get 105 points in the last round alone

ETA. Not sure if that’s 2 bikes including Storm Stacey or if they’re sticking with just the one bike, with Danny on it.

I thought I read that he was going to be on a Honda next year. Are they switching bikes?
