Leon Haslam has just announced his plans for 2023. He will be riding for Rokit BMW.

I suspect he’ll no doubt be at the sharp end of the championship.

Leon’s got a really strong package and team around him, but he’s under no illusion that it’s going to be competitive from the off and might take a few rounds to iron any issues out

Listening to a podcast this morning, and full credit to Haslam for his commitment to all classes in BSB this year, he's running a massive effort, alongside his own SBK ride, obviously one eye on life after competitive racing, and it's great to see someone putting something back into the sport, but it's a huge task carrying on from last year and his riders winning the 400 class, now he expects similar results in the other classes .

Just the logistics in organising everything is mind boggling.

I've been involved in the Affinity academy for a couple of years now, and it's a massive operation
Leon's obviously the driving force behind it all, but he makes sure he has all the time required to help with the kids, and make sure everything goes exactly as it should on race weekend, and the bikes and team are always presented properly
He had a sterling year in the 400 class last year, with Affinity bikes winning 12 out of 16 races (My son won 6 of those) and Affinity was only off the podium in a single race I think
His agreement with the Rokit BMW is for two years on the Sbk, and I believe he's looking to make a long term plan with them to also run in Stk1000 next year too

Interesting to see he’s running the latest M1000RR, but both FHO and TAS aren’t.

I can't see FHO and TAS being too impressed if he is getting the latest supa doopa kit and they aren't.
Unless of course, they don't want the latest kit, preferring stuff they know works scratchchin

From what I understand, 22-23 M1000rr is just body work and electronics (which BSB dump for motec anyway)
Motor and chassis are the same

I’d go for Brookes or Leon
I think Brookes will be quicker off the mark, but Leon will be quicker once the package is up to speed

I'll go with Hickman.
