You can get 105 points in the last round alone

The way it works looks like this.

I never liked the showdown format - that sounds like an improvement but we won't know for sure until next year!The way it works looks like this.

Yeah, I quite like it as it brings the season conclusion right to the last round I can see why BSB do it, as like you say, Camier’s domination made the end of the season boring
I have never liked Showdown, for all sorts of reasons, I understand why it is done, especially when Shaky was dominating and winning it 3 or 4 meetings before the end, but there are better ways of making it exciting.
I don't like totally ignoring the rest of the field, I think that is hugely disrespectful to teams and riders, and a rider can easily have an amazing end of year like Hicky did and perhaps sneak 4 or 5 standings places, doesn't mean much, but to be dumped out of it seems pointless.
As a format it is pretty much not adopted anywhere other than NASCAR, and that is about as false as motorsport gets in reality, so it is time to go for me, but MSV own it and want more revenue at year end guaranteed and probably have the attendance data to show it works, the ya re the money men and money talks, that is why it stays.
