Quartararo finished 2nd only .2 off of Pecco last year. A not really Marquez was 4th. Things could be a bit closer this weekend all going well.

You think it’s more competitive than GP? Point is Rea just wanted to take the money. So I’ve not much respect for that.
Or win titles, which he did. I don’t get this playground squabbling. Rea excelled in his category, Marquez in his. No one can say for sure how each would fare in the others category.
You don’t become a multiple champion (let alone a bona fide World Champion) in any sport by following the money, to even suggest so says a lot more about you than him.

Marquez out of Jerez!!

I think he's coming to the end of his career at Honda and possibly beyond
Ah no way.... thats a massive blow for Moto GP as a whole to be honest. He needs to stop listening to those doctors tongue out

I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him yet. Might be finally realizing that he needs to look after his body a little more if he wants to continue at the top level. Missing one more race isn’t going to make a whole pile of difference as this season.

Marquez doing a press conference at Jerez today.....

Supposedly just on his recovery, seems a bit odd to me.
I guess you're speculating retirement?

Bastianinni declared fit. smile
Its his home event isn't it ? Course he is.

Good news on Bastianini

Fabio looking awesome, reckon he might get a point this weekend! hehe Yamaha the only manufacturer not directly into Q2. With Pecco & Bez in Q1 too, Fabio getting beyond the fifth row looks unlikely.

Bestia out.
Poor Bestia frown

I've heard Dorna are going to force them to use the glasses as downforce on the bikes. Hence the odd designs of them.

Be great if he pulled off a decent result.

He's had an Ok run at the end of his career but last year was his chance and they have been lackluster this year so far especially since they were raving about how the bike is even more improved this year.

I'd fk Mav and his psychiatrist off too and throw some money at Fabio / Marquez......

That bike is ready to win championships. AE and MV are not.

I would keep AE as a test rider though as he knows the bike inside out and has had a lot to do with making it what it is now, so we can't knock him too much, but he's not cutting it racing and he's clearly struggling with the sprint format too. There's better and younger riders ready and waiting to take that seat, that also may be willing to take a punt for a reasonable, but maybe not factory yam or HRC level salary, to get on a better bike.

I thought KTM might try that but they haven't so..... yeah. It would be amazing if Aprilia did just that. Who do you reckon would bite first - Fabio or Marc?
From a recent speedweek article not one team is interested in Marquez, too expensive, too old, and if he wins it'll be him if he doesn't it'll be the bike. If anything Fabio would be the obvious choice, but he has no experience of a V4 and we've seen how long his old teammate has taken to adjust to the Aprilia.
I'd bet on Fabio figuring it out quicker
And possibly a good bit cheaper too, Marc usually finds the limits only one way smile

Great, hope he is able to take it to the flock (pride, den, colony, drove) of Ducati's.

I saw Marini speaking about the colder track making it harder to get heat in the tyres early on, so it’s a track that actually suits some of the bigger guys.
