I'd forgotten about Dunlops - I've had them as OE on a couple of new bikes and I second the comments about the slow steering. They always felt under-inflated to me, even when they weren't.

Dunlop really seem to screw themselves over with the OEM tyres they supply to the manufacturers. They usually rate pretty well in tests but I barely know anyone who uses them because of bad experiences with the ste they let manufacturers fit to their new bikes instead of their current model tyres available in the general market.

My bike came with continental sport attack tyres as OE which I discovered were terrible after I relaced them with a pair of Avon spirits. I don't know why manufacturers do it, as I'm unlikely to ever buy continentals now, just in case the aftermarket ones are as bad as the oe ones.

I replaced the spirits with pirelli angels, which are equally as good as the Avons.

Yeah I thought all tyre manufacturers do this.
