It's a bit of a kick in the nuts though, wins the tilte - just - and knows he is already out of a job at the team.
Wonder who they will get to partner Glenn if that is the case? Lee Jackson? Jack Kennedy?
That's all allwoing for Tommy going to Honda if the rumour is true but you have to think that Honda will definitely be up to the front of the field next year, two years as also runs won't sit well.

Tommy does have a reputation for being difficult to manage at times. You can see how many teams he's ridden for he hops about a bit (three in one season once IIRC). No reason he shouldn't capitalise on his earning potential as the champ either.

Didn't he ride for TAS at one point?
I remember him riding for Milwaukee Yamaha in 2013 but was that the year he was seat warmer in three different teams?
I do like him but it's a reaction to his time with NB Suzuki when his brother was still alive but i can also see why people like Gelnn Irwin too, he came across far more mature after their Donington incident and yes, did seem like Jordan was in Glenn's pit garage but maybe they've put their efforts behind him going forward and it's their team so they can do whatever they decide is right for the team.
I can also see Tommy calling it a day before long, i know he said he wants to defend the title next year but everything he's done has leading up to this point and now he's achieved what he said he wanted to, what is there left to do?

A better comparison is Iddon this year, and Tommy did much better in 2022 than Iddon in 2023.

You weren’t the only one to notice that.It was something that stood out to me as well and cemented my theory from listening to the interview.
As you say though, we could both be reading more in to it, but I do tend to trust my gut feeling and it’s not often that it’s wrong.

Thought it was interesting that during the interviews after winning the BMW cup, Cooper said he wouldn’t defend the win. But Faye Ho said although she wouldn’t make an announcement,would have news for next season or something, she pretty much said Cooper would be riding with her team again next year. I thought could be Supersport & the North West maybe, but perhaps the new twin class..
Assume Brookes and Hickman staying for the Superbike class.

I'm sure i read somewhere that Hickman and Brookes have already signed up for 2024 with FHO and yeah sounds about right for Cooper, FHO are the official BSB BMW factory supported team so they don't have an official SSP entry although PHR do with the TriumphThought it was interesting that during the interviews after winning the BMW cup, Cooper said he wouldn’t defend the win. Forgot about FHO "BMW factory supported team".....who knows then.Triumph have recently acounced PHR are supply a race kit for "a version of its 660cc three-cylinder motorcycle in the new 2024 Pirelli National Sportbike Championship." So could be riding one of those PHR bikes, FHO sponsored.

Tommy on the other hand is a wildcard, always has been and always will be. Not that he isn't professional but he isnt a professional if that makes sense.
He waffles on about all sorts of things, mentions the team now and then, occasionally slips a bit of profanity in when he is excited and teams don't necessarily want that these days. I guess in a way he is a throw back to the bygone days of James Hunt and his badge that read
Sex, The breakfast of Champions
But like i said, he is professional, he's just a different kind of professional to Glenn.

Moreover, I think this is just a new chapter for TB and he has many more titles in him. I know it was mentioned a few years ago, but I wish he had competed at the NW200 and IOM TT.
You have to also recall Irwin has raced there before he was also backed by Bord in his early years so there is a common link.. Bridewell was a gun for hire and they hired him.
I am fairly sure he will be glad to see the back of it, maybe not the bike but the team. He will be very well paid by Honda probably the first time he has been in that position!
And as others have said, run the no1 plate and then maybe quot and live his life, he has nothing left to prove

Irwin on the other hand, you can see him carrying on until he has several British titles under his belt.

According to BSN, PBM are exepected to retain Irwin and Bridewell and DAO Kawasaki are expected to just go with Buchan which is a bit of a slap to Elliott
