Really impressive from Maverick all weekend. Even now I'm not totally convinced this is the Maverick we're going to see each time out but I truly hope it is.
Yeah i just sit waiting for it to go wrong. How many wins before you/I accept he's put that behind him ?

Ducati now need to consider giving Marc the bike spec that it was when it finished last year. He will be a regular contender for race wins.
Ducati need an anti dote to the Gas Gas and Aprilia and that potion may just be Marc.
They are Italian, so no chance. Ducati need an anti dote to the Gas Gas and Aprilia and that potion may just be Marc.
Fantastic race, proper edge of the seat stuff, delighted for Vinales, and Acosta is an absolute joy to watch. Can't help thinking that Marquez absolutely walks the championship if he was on a 24 Ducati, to be in the mix like that with a damaged 3rd tier bike, outstanding, shame he lost the front as I think he would have gone on to win the race.
Best moto gp race I've seen in a while!
Had everything crossed for Mav - was just waiting for the gearbox to pop again or some other misfortune!
Can't remember the last time I saw a rider come through from 11th to win! Maybe a Marquez ride at some point?
Tbh it was probably even more lucky for him that Marquez fell off - that would have been the hardest overtake / greatest risk of getting entangled.
We like a bit of Marquez punch and judy banter on here - but Acosta shows that overtaking and dogfighting at the highest level can be clean / doesn't inevitably mean contact.
In terms of 2025 contract, am not sure if it is better for Marc to try to work miracles in the odd race like it would have been today if he stayed on - or whether its better to just try to grind out a championship result and lock in the 2nds and 3rds. That's 2x DNF in a row now... But maybe he can only ride with his heart.
Wierd to see the factory Ducati team look a bit ordinary again.
And if there was one season that was predestined to be a Ducati one make series...

Fell asleep during Moto3, think that was more me than the racing. Enjoyed seeing Sergio Garcia win his first Moto2 race, hopefully first of many.
MotoGP was outstanding, that's the kind of race we all love to watch. Marc is blaming his brakes, he was certainly aggressive and Pedro showed him how to bring home a great result on a bike you're adjusting to. Maverick seemed to have 3 or 4 tenths on everyone, I hope he can continue his form at Jerez, although KTM have gone well there for the past few seasons.

I think the Aprilia 'ground effect' fairings will come into their own at Jerez, if Mav has his head right he should be in with a chance again. That was such a thrilling race and the timing was very helpful as I could chill and watch it live for once! It was so thrilling that I called all the family in to come and watch -- they joined just as MM took the lead.
MM was fantastic, back to his predatory best, Acosta is a revelation who has such sublime control on the brakes and whose riding style and personal mannerisms are Rossi-esque (am I just projecting this?!) -- Maverick looks so tuned into the Aprilia, it's riding and handling beautifully.
Just how much this win meant to him too, was really touching and to have been the first rider to win a top class race with three different manufacturers is true excellence. What a season we're going to be in for.

Marc was pushing it, seems to be more intent on proving something to himself than to anyone else. Maverick in stark contrast looked like he could pull out 0.4 at any given stage in the race. Acosta was great too wasn't he? Loving the battles but smart enough to know his pace and not to over cook things.
Bastinini tipping along nicely in the championship too, under the radar.
