I suspect shortly after Mugello Marc will be signed with Ducati.
I very much doubt it, he will along with JM be an ex Ducati rider next year .... Se7enheaven said:

I very much doubt it, he will along with JM be an ex Ducati rider next year .... The flip side is that if they don't take Marc, someone else will, and they know he's a threat. As well as Pecco rode at the weekend I think Marc and Pedro are the two hottest properties in Moto GP at the moment, Pedro is going nowhere but Marc is very much up for grabs and I have no doubt he will be getting all sorts of offers. The sticking point may be where offers the most money, Ducati aren't renowned for paying top dollar as they know they have the best bike, I could see KTM making a silly offer.

I think you’re missing something….
Marc doesn’t need money right now.
Another title and he’ll never have to work again.
What Marc wants more than anything, is a bike that will win.
I could see him stay where he is with an upgraded bike.
Gresini should be able to increase sponsorship income with Marc’s success this year, so more funds in the box.

I have had the same thoughts, I don't think it's going to come down to money anyway, or at least it won't be as big a factor... But there is a reason why Marc wanted a 1 year deal to align himself with the rider market and get a factory ride. I do believe that his desire to have a factory ride is more about having the latest tech and a say in development than money in this stage of his career. Marc doesn’t need money right now.

It's going to be exciting to watch it unfold but I'm very much enjoying watching the two brothers enjoying racing together... but I can't help but think that as happy as he seems he won't be there next year.
It's easy to overlook the fact that the bike isn't the be all and end all, it's the support and personnel that comes with the higher tier teams too. Marc has had a few issues this season that Frankie Carchedi has had to hold his hands up to and admit they were bike problems. Things like this happen a lot less in factory teams / teams with factory support.
It's interesting that the factory have been giving Marc some data and new thumb brake to try, so there's some support there, but I doubt we are going to see his GP23 start sprouting all the aero upgrades we saw appearing on the factory bikes last year.

Ducati and honda have all had bike problems.
Ducati lost Lorenzo because they wouldn't adjust things his way , once they did he got results but the damage was done .
Yeah, I'm talking about problems with setup and prep, which is what they have alluded to with Marc twice now. With the brakes at COTA and another problem at Portimao I think it was. Both time Frankie Carchedi alluded to the fact he knew what it was and that it shouldn't have happened. These things are categorically less likely to happen in a top tier team. Ducati lost Lorenzo because they wouldn't adjust things his way , once they did he got results but the damage was done .

On the flip side Gigi/factory Ducati might just want him on their bike simply so he's not beating them at a satellite team or another factory.
There is that.Besides that I didn't think duc would want Marc while they have homeboy winning for them. And winning well TBF - I've never rated pecco as being one of the greats but last time out was maybe his greatest race ever.

Yep, the money is very much secondary for him.He wants a bike that he can fight for more championships - he has eyes on equalling (or beating) Rossi's 7 and likely Ago's 8 championship wins.
We will start to see Marc change soon. He won't just be happy to be fast, he will arrive each weekend with expectations of himself and the team and I expect him to be disappointed if they aren't met. I think Gresini have provided a great safe and happy space for him to rebuild but he will start to think about the championship as much as he's saying it's not his primary focus right now.
