Hmmm!
If Mrs K1 said that to me, I'd know I was in real trouble!
Where's that Admiral Ackbar 'It's a trap' meme when you need it?If Mrs K1 said that to me, I'd know I was in real trouble!
I got so lucky with Jules, she is one in a billion, so long as I don't disrespect her, cheat, gamble, hit.... I have free reign.
She says she fully expected another bike anyway.
I have a tail lift van from a mate to collect it this evening.

Your wife has probably had a conversation with a friend along the lines of...I got so lucky with Jules, she is one in a billion, so long as I don't disrespect her, cheat, gamble, hit.... I have free reign.

'He's been a bit quiet recently, thought something was wrong but it turns out to be nothing, he just bought another bike'
Looks good. I have a bit of a thing for headlamps.
I like them even more if they illuminate the road ahead.
I saw a US import one in the noughties that was white with the red and blue swirly ribbon Fireblade stripes. It was side on to the road so driving towards it the stripes were saying Fireblade but the rest of it was saying not Fireblade.
These were on my radar but running a juicy car means over sixty appealed more than mid 40s. I put £16 in on Monday evening and the top segment on the gauge isn't lit so £16 for 85% of a tank.
Jules buys Alfas sounds like the name of a band that may've featured on the John Peel Radio 1 show.
You could do a mixtape with V4, IL6 and Alfa TS noises. I cannot remember if you still have a Busso.

Hmmm, had a bit of time with her yesterday, she has not been loved recently.
I repaired bits of fairing and front mudguard, managed to get the butchered screws out of the master cylinder and top it up.
Mirrors are ready for repaint.
I'm waiting on a service kit, front tyre and footrests, also calling in at PR tyres about the loudness of the exhaust and MOT's.
Then we have the front downpipes........
Picked up a used set of paddock stands yesterday as well.

From a glass half full perspective, at least the other header pipe to engine join looks OK.
That is the cleaned up view... I am dosing them liberally with wd40... ps, no busso in the fleet, tried the 630 in sport mode through the Mersey tunnel on sunday... Not at all dissapointing.

woah, that's not pretty!
Dig all the gun gum off it probably needs a new crush seal - unless a stud has snapped again not a horrible job as long as there is something left to mig a nut onto it and get some heat into itBeen here before with my FZ6 and 3 snapped studs.
I suspect there is a hole where the gum is.
I happen to have a mig in the shed, right next to a blowtorch...

Some good info there, I've just bought (but not yet collected) a red N-plate (and I paid a lot more than Wayne!) - although it's not held together with cable ties.
How many miles would you expect to get to a tank?
It was a while ago now. I think I normally filled up around 130 miles but after a "spirited ride" I'd fill up at 100. If yours is an N-plate it'll likely be an RC36-2 which has an extra half gallon tank capacity, so you'll likely get a bit more range (and hopefully you'll be more sensible than I was then!).How many miles would you expect to get to a tank?
I can say that back in the day these did an indicated 135mph in 5th gear.....I was trying to max it out, tucked behind the screen etc., and was disappointed it would only do 135mph. Slowed down to something less risky and realised I hadn't changed to sixth gear. No one has ever accused me of being clever!!! I didn't feel brave enough to go again to see what it would do. The following week it was reported that they had been trialling speed camaras on the road I was on....I still wonder if they got the nutter on the motorbike.
Two of the three speeding tickets I have received in my 35 year driving/riding life were on my VFR750 which I owned for four years....you have been warned. It is very easy to go fast on these.
I know what you mean about going fast - though the power isn't intimidating, in a brisk 3rd gear overtakes, the speedo's showing 80+, even though it feels like just over 60. I'm sure it'll pull over 100 in 3rd, without making much of a drama about it. Even though mine looks bog stock I can't complain about comfort or handling in the real world. Hugely impressive for a design over 30 years old.
Oh and it starts immediately first press regardless of how long it's been standing.
PS Looking at the state of those headers I'm reminded why I paid more for mine!
Failed... One item, sticking throttle, went home and introduced a load of silicone spray into both cables, snaps shut now... Until I apply full lock.
Sat in the bath last night I had a thought... Did I even think about the cable routes when I put the forks back in.
Weather here is awful, I need to knock up some sort of shelter then I can investigate.
Funnily enough the terrible looking downpipe does not blow... Unlike the other one, only minor and an advisory, along with back tyre, chain/sprockets.
My replacement downpipes from Germany have arrived and I have ordered gaskets, studs, nuts.

Nice looking bike, in my slightly warped opinion.
I always knew of them since Ron Haslam surprised everyone on a stocker at the Transatlantic.Suddenly this year I really liked them... Same as my car, Bangle 6 series, forever I thought yuk, late last year I was in love and bought one.
That picture in particular makes me think 'WoW' I loves that.
