Kit Bikes

Hi,

anyone on here interested in custom bikes? went to my local haunt in Sherburn (Squires cafe) for the custom bike show. Also, there is a Bennetts build off on sky Thursday's I think, with the UK's custom builders on. Some amazing workmanship.

Anyone got one? or had one?. I am just sounding people out about this before looking into a kit.

After building a Kit car I have been tempted to build a OCC type custom chopper. not my thing but they look amazing. just need to pass my DAS and save first though

Hi, yes. The OCC ones are great.
The kits are this style and if you look at www.thundercity.co.uk you can see the type that are made from kit bikes.

Did you get the build manual first for the kit car and check it over or just buy the kit?

I spent about a year working out what I wanted. the costs etc.. found a few local Tiger owners and went for a blast and looked at their bikes and when to a few shows then bought and built my Tiger. one of the best experances i have had. A great feeling it is too. but at the moment i have 2 family cars, a Kit car and looking at getting a Bike so not sure if I can get away with building a bike as well

yes, see whay tou mean. Must be nice when you have completed the project. Well done on yours, sounds great.

This is the sort of thing worth pondering over though, taking your time and trying to find others who have done the same. I'll keep you posted on my findings. Thanks for you replies.
